Gentlemen:
It has come to my attention that some
objections have been raised to the proposed
construction of the Headquarters and General
Office Building of North American Aviation,
Inc., to be located near the orner of Imperial
and Pacific Coast Highways. I feel that the
addition of this facility would be a distinct
privilege and benefit to the industrial
community of El Segundo.
It is my understanding that they have
provided, in the proposed development, more
than adequate parking facilities for thair
employees and any traffic problems that will
exist in the future, I feel sure will be

They say in effect, 'A Stable Plan of Residen-
tial Zoning is the Home"Owners' Monroe Doctrine'.
5. We believe that the tax benefit
derived from the propoeed development, a sum
in the order of $4,000.00, will be inadequate
to control the traffic hazard. occasioned by the
use of an estimated. 800 automobiles to transport
the employees.
6. We know that the assessed valuation
of El Segundo at the present time is higher
than the assessed valuation in over a half of
the Counties in the State of California; there -
fore El Segundo does not need the few more
dollars represented in this case, particularly
in view of the tremendous cost to a portion
of its residents in denying them the enjoyment
of safety, security and faith in their local
government.
Gentlemen, we urge that you deny the
application of the Applicant to rezone the above
described property.
