He stated that if funds are available for the purpose, it would be necessary for the Council to immediately advise the District of the amount which the City expected to contribute in cash,.if any, toward the current taxes, On the contrary, he advised, if the City had no cash funds to con- tribute -toward the taxes for the fiscal year 1950 -1951, the tax would be levied in due course to cover the portion of the Metropolitan District taxes to be paid by the portion of the District in the City of El Segundo. After discussion, it was moved by Councilman Thompson, seconded by Councilman Swanson, the following resolution be adopted- 3ESOLVLD, that the communication from James H. City Coordinator McCarthy reported that the vetera.nsv housing units are in need of reroofing; that City Engineer Lortz had obtained prices thereon and he requested said Engineer to read said quotations to the Council. After discussion of the subject, following the reading of the quotations, it was moved by Councilman Swanson, seconded by Councilman Peterson, that this Council does hereby approve and authorize the reroofing of the ten veteranst housing units of the City of El Segundo, at a cost of not to exceed $618.00. Carried by the following vote, Ayes.- Councilmen Peterson, Swanson, Thompson and Mayor Selby. Noes.- Councilmen None. Absent- Councilman Baker. City Coordinator McCarthy reported receipt from the Public Housing Administration of an executed copy of Form PHA -1907, Relinquishment and Transfer, to the City of El Segundo of all rights, title and interest of the United States in and with respect to temporary housing Project No. CAL V- 4498, which he read to the Council. Thereafter, it was moved by Councilman Peterson, seconded by Councilman Thompson, that said form of relinquishment, PHA -1907, transferring to the City of `l Segundo, all of the Federal scvernment9s right, title arc:,,�F}fgat in and with respect to temporary housing Project No. CAL 4498, be re a vhd and ordered placed on file in the office of the City Clerk.
