City Engineer.Hutchins reported receipt of a communication from
Los Angeles County Flood Control District; indicating its future in-
tentions,,pf installing drainage facilities along oradjacent to certain
portions of Aviation Boulevard for the purpose of draining that portion
of the City of El Segundo edniiguous to Imperial Highway and Aviation
Boulevard.
Chief.of Police Hutchins reported to the Council that effective
March 1,-19479 he had - advanced Officer, -Vernon Wood of the El Segundo
Police Department from the classification Desk Officer Third Year Service
to Traffic Officer First Class, First year of Service.
Moved by Councilman Baker, seconded by Councilman Thompson that
the action of the Chief,.of Police,of the City of El Segundo changing the
classification. "of Police_ pffi'cer Vernon.- Mood from Desk Officer, Third
Year Service to Traffic Officer Pirs.V ClassF, First year of Service, effec-
tive on and after March'l, 1 ,947,.be and the same is hereby,ratified,
