City Attorney Woodworth reported having received • a request to- approve the cancellation of a certain erroneous assessment in amount $90.00. Follow- ing which it was moved by Councilman Baker,.seconded by Councilman Peterson the following resolution be adopted: RESOLVED, that the City Attorney be and he is hereby authorized to approve, on behalf of the City of E1 Segundo, California, Cancellation No. 2128, dated August S. 1947, author- izing the cancellation of: Assessment No. 371786,.Yol. No. 209, for $90,00 net, Value of Boat No. 24F49, on account of erroneous assessment to Ben R. Pitcher, not owned, possessed, or controlled by.assessee on March 3, 1947. Absent Councilman Skelley and Mayor Selby. - For convenience in cost accounting and handling the City -Clerk recommended to the City Council that that certain fund created October 30, 1946, designated and known as "Reserve for Elevated Steel Water Tank" Acc- ount,in amount $32,540.00, be transferred from the books of the General Government of the City of E1 Segundo, to the books of the Water Department of said City, and that the money reserved thereby, likewise be transferred to the Water Department for disposition by that Department. The - Council and.the Water.Superintendent concurring, it was moved by Councilman Baker, seconded by Councilman Peterson, the following resolution be adopted: RESOLVED, that that certain fund appearing in the General Government Books of the City of El Segundo, named and known as, "Reserve' for Elevated Steel Water Tank" Acd:qunt;.which said fund was created by this Council October 30,•1946, by resolution adopted on said date, and of- record,at.Page R -472, Minutes of the Proceedings of this Council,' be transferred from the books of the General Government to the books of the -- Water - Department of the City of E1 Segundo; that the sum of money represented thereby, to wit: $32040.00, likewise be transferred to the Water Department; AND 9 -BE -IT FURTHER RESOLVED,-that said amount.of money which was allocated and reserved for the purpose of meeting the obligations of the City of El Segundo', which'ad11-1fall•due under that certain agreement.between said City and Pittsburgh - Des= Moines Steel - Company, dated.the 30th day of September, A.
