1947 APR 23 CC MINR W2 -EL Segundo, California April 23, 1947. -A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of $L Segundo, Cali- fornia, was held in the Council Chamber of the City Bill of said City, on the above date, having been called to order at 7:00 o'clock P. M. by William R. Selby, Mayor. -ROLL CALL. 'Councilmen Present:_ Baker, Peterson, Thompson and Mayor Selby. Councilmen Absent: Skelley. READING OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING. The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 16th day"of April, 1947, having been read, and no errors or omissions having been.noted, it was moved by Councilman Peterson, seconded by Councilmen Baker, the minutes of said meeting be approved as recorded. Carried. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS. Written communications, received from the persons, firma or corpor- ations hereinafter named, were read to the Council and were disposed of in the manner indicated, following reference to each as follows: MITCHEL F. GEISLER, dated April 18, 19479 HAROLD S. McMULLIN, dated April 18, 1947, and WESTLEY YZNBCk HOPFER, dated April 17, 1947 ; each being an application for employment by the City of E1 Segundo. Ordered filed. MICHAEL OISHEA, dated 21 April, 1947, thanking the Council for use of the City Park on June 29th. Ordered filed. AUSTIN- FIELD- FRY & CRIZ, by Roy S. Jackson, Office Manager, dated April 22, 1947, in response to City Clerk's letter of April 17th, advising that Mr. Austin and Mr. Fry of said Company will most with the members of the City Council on Monday, April 28th at 3:30 P. M., for consultation with respect to proceeding with the completion of Fit Segundo Public Library. Ordered filed. The City Clerk then read a report received April 18, 1947, by tele- phone from Mr. Clyde Woodworth, City Attorney, with respect to said attorney's conversation with Mr. John C. Austin, Architect, on the subject of having a new contract written between the City of El Segundo and the firm of Austin - Field - Fry & Criz (formerly John C. Austin), covering completion of E1 Segundo Public Library, and in which report Mr. Woodworth stated he could see no objection to the writing of a new contract as requested, if the Council is so minded.
