1946 AUG 20 CC MINR 3�6 El Segundo, California. . August 20, 1946. An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of-the City of El Segundo, California, was held in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City on the above date, having been called to order by the City Clerk, the Mayor being absent. Moved by,Councilman Skelley, seconded by Councilman Baker, that Councilman Peterson be appointed Mayor pro tem. Carried. Councilman Peterson thereupon assumed the duties of the Mayor. ROLL CALL. Councilmen.Present: Baker, Skelley.and Mayor pro tem Peterson. Councilmen Absent:' Selby and Thompson. READING OF MD=S OF-PREVIOUS MEETING. The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 14th day of August, 1946, having been read and no errors or omissions being noted, it was moved by Councilman Baker, seconded by Councilman Skelley, the minutes of said meeting be approved as recorded. Carried. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS. Written communications, received from the persons, firms or corporations hereinafter named, were read to the Council and were disposed of in the manner indicated, following reference to each, as follows: AIXAS.HOUSE MOVING,-dated August 190 1946, -being application for a permit to m9ve_,two Quonset huts through the City of El Segundo. The C ity' Clerk- reported that' all ' requisite depoeitp and fees- in;.connect ion with said application had been made and paid, whereupon it was-- noved..,by Councilman Skelley, seconded by Councilman Baker, the following resolution be adopted: RESOLVED, that Almas House Moving be,.Wnd it is hereby granted a permit to move two Quonset-buts. through.the:City_ of E1 Segundo, said buildings to be moved on the 20th day of August, 1946 and during the course of such removal to be routed southerly on Sepulveda'Boulevard,- from. - Imperial Highway, .. to Grand Avenue, westerly on Grand Avenue .to Goast- Blvd.,, : - thence southerly on Coast' Boulevard to Rosecrans Avenue; 9r;.,. being provided -that�`said perniittee sholl•notify the Police Department of the City of E1 Segundo of the:commsncement of t such moving operations within said City not less than thirty minutes prior thereto, ;so as-to pemit said -Department t,o afford traffic protection during such removal operation, the work other- wise to be prosecuted and completed to the satisfacti4n_,of the Street Superintendent of the City.of El Segundo., Carried ALMAS HOIISE MOVING, dated August 16, 1946, being application to move ten one -story frame buildings into the City of E1 Segundo.
