Moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Peterson, that the sum of $2500.00 be transferred from the General Fund of the City of E1 Segundo to the Library Fund of said City and that the City Clerk and the City Treasurer be and they are hereby authorized and directed to cause such transfer to be made and appropriate record thereof entered in their respective books of account. The Chief of Police reported that on September 13th, 1943, he had appointed Mack C. Luster a crossing guard at the rate of compensation provided for crossing guards by Resolution No. 678 of the City Council and he requested that his action be approved. Moved by Councilman Peterson, seconded by Councilman Hesser, that the action of the Chief of Police in appointing Mack C. Luster a crossing guard, effective September 13th, 1943, be-and the same is hereby ratified, approved and confirmed.
