1943 JUL 19 CC MINE1 Segundo, California. July 19th, 1943. An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, was held in the Council Chamber of the City hall of said City on the above date, having been-called to order at 4:15 o'clock P. M. by George Love, Mayor. ROLL CALL. Councilmen Present: Hesser, Peterson, Selby and mayor Love. Councilmen Absent: Gerow. READING OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS. The minutes of the regular meeting held on the .7th day of July, 1943, and of the special meeting held on the 9th day of July, 1943, having been read and no errors or omissions noted, it was moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Peterson, that the minutes of the regular meeting held on the 7th day of July, 1943 and of the special meeting held on the 9th day of July, 1943, be approved as recorded. Carried. WRITTEN COMNNICATIONS. The following communications, which were read to the Council,.were disposed of in the manner indicated, following reference to each hereinafter: STi,NLARD OIL COMPANY OF CALIFORNIA, dated July 15th, 1943, being an - *Dplication for a hermit to drill an oil and/or gas well to be named and known as Standard Oil Company of California Gough No. 13, in a certain location in Section 7, Township 3, Range 14 West, S. B. B. & M. in the City of El Segundo, as more particularly described in the application therefor and mar accompanying the same. Said application was also accompanied by said Company's check in amount of 412.50 to cover license fee for the balance of the calendar year 1943 and by a 1?tter stating that endorsement to the oil well drilling bond of said Commany, now in possession of said City, adding the said well to the coverage under said bond will be furnished by applicant's surety, Pacific Indemnity Company. Moved by Councilman Peterson, seconded by Councilman Selby, that Resolution No. 671, entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, GRA:��'TING TO STANDARD OIL COI+LPANY OF CALIFORNIA A PERMIT FOR THAT CERTAIN OIL :"'ELL IN SAID CITY DESIGNATED AND 12;1070 AS STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF CALIFORNIA GOUGH NO. 13, which was read, be adopted.
