An adjourned regular meeting-of the.City Council of the City-of E1 Segundo, California, was called to order this date at the hour of-4:15 o'clock P. M., in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, Mayor Binder presiding. ROLL CALL. Councilmen Present: Gerow,• Love, Selby and Mayor Binder. Councilmen Absent: Hesser. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Love, Selby and Mayor. Binder. Noes: Councilmen Nonei Absent: Councilman Hesser. NEW BUSINESS. Moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Selby that the Fire Chief of the City of El Segundo and all members of the City Council who find it convenient to do so be and they are hereby authorized and directed to make a tour of Los Angeles County cities, particularly Huntington Park and Glendale, for the purpose of- inspecting fire apparatus in use in the several cities, such inspection to be made for the purpose of enabling the City Council to arrive at a_ satisfactory judgment with reference to the awarding of a contract for furnishing the City of E1 Segundo with certain fire apparatus and equipment,pursuant to bids thereon as advertised for, received August 7th, 1940.. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Love, Selby and Mayor Binder. Noes: Councilmen None. Absent: Councilman Hesser. Mayor Binder moved that the sum of $20.00 be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the City of E1 Segundo for use in connection with furnishing-El Segundo Baseball Team, under the management of Edward M. McGrath, necessary supplies and equipment not exceeding in cost at this time the sum herein specified. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Love, Selby and Mayor Binder. Noes: Councilmen None. Absent: Councilman Hesser. No further-business-appearing to be transacted at this meeting, it was moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Love, the meeting adjourn.- Carried.
