A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF-TIM CITY OF
EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.
389 OF SAID CITY, ENTITLED: " A RESOLUTION OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA,
FIXING AND ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION OR PAY OF
VARIOUS MUNICIPAL OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY
AND REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS AND ORDERS AND PARTS OF
RESOLUTIONS AND ORDERS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH", BY
AMENDING SUBDIVISION 6 OF SECTION 1 THEREOF RELATING
TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT,
which was read, be. adopted. Carried by the following vote:

Moved by Councilman Hesser, seconded by Councilman Selby, that effective
January 6th, 1938, and until the further order of this Council, officers Lee
Maxwell and Floyd Ingram of the Police Department be classified as Police
Officers of the 31fth Class instead of Police Officers of the Sixth Class,
and that Felix DeMond be classified as Police Officer of the Seventh Class
instead of Police Officer of the Sixth Class as heretofore; and that their rates
of compensation and hours of service be in conformity with the provisions of
Resolution No, 389 .and such other resolutions of this Council as may be
amendatory thereof or supplementary thereto, respecting the rates of compensation
and hours of employment of municipal officers and employees. Carried by the
following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Hesser, Love, Selby and Mayor Binder.

The Chief of•'Police reported to the Council that effective-January 1st,
1938,.he had changed the rating oY Police Officer V« L...McCarthy from that of
Third Class to Second Class and requested the Council's approval of the same.
