September 17th, 1936.
An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of El
Segundo, California, was called to order at 4:15 o'clock P. M. on the
above date, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by peter
E. Binder, Mayor.
ROLL CALL.
Councilmen Present: Hesser, Selby and Mayor Binder.
Councilmen Absent: Gerow and Love.
By general consent the regular order of business was dispensed with.
The City Clerk reported that, as directed, he had obtained premium
quotations,4Andemnifying the City against loss by reason of the operation
of its road roller and tractor; that the premium for $20,000 - $50,000 public
liability limits on the road roller will be $25.50 and on the tractor
$53.60; for $5,000.00 property damage limit on the road roller $8.77 and
on the tractor $20.00.
By general consent the Clerk was instructed to procure public liability
indemnity in the amounts before stated only on the road roller, tractor and
all motor vehicles operated by the City except the fire engine and the
Police Department motor vehicles, on which latter the same amount of public
liability indemnity shall be procured, together with $5,000.00 property
damage limits.

NEW BUSINESS.
Moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Hesser, that Victor
D. McCarthy, City Clerk, be granted his customary annual two weeks vacation
beginning September 23rd, 1936. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Hesser, Selby and Mayor Binder.
Noes: Councilmen None.
Absent: Councilmen Gerow and Love.
The City Clerk filed with the Council his annual report of financial
transactions of the City for the fiscal year ended June 30th, 1936, and
advised that pursuant to Chapter 443 of the Statutes of 1935, said report
would be published in the September 24th issue of E1 Segundo Herald.
No further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting, it
was moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Hesser, that the
meeting adjourn. Carried.
