ORAL COMMUNICATIONS.
Two gentlemen demonstrated for the Council an inter - office communicating
system and agreed to submit prices thereon by letter for the Councills'future
consideration.

REPORTS OF OFFICERS AND SPECIAL COMMITTEES.
The City Clerk reported that on October 16th, 1935, a General Government
Warrant No. 27138, in the sum of $5.20, was drawn payable to Br. A. Viyers
for services rendered the City of Ei Segundo; that the warrant has not been
called for•by the peyee'And that efforts have been fruitless�to•locate.ths
man by mail.
It was thereupon moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Seltgi
that General Government Warrant No. 27138, dated October 16th, 1935, in
amount of $5.20, payable to the order of ll..Mvers, be and the sane is hereby
ordered cancelled without prejudice to the future filing of a demand for said
sum by the said A. Myers for services rendered by him and for which said
warrant was drawn, and that said sum be restored to the fund froa which it was
drawn. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Hesser, Love, Selby and Mayor Binder.

Absent: Councilman Gerow.
The City Clerk advised the Council that Lodge No. 507, F. & A. M.-had '
informed him of its desire to use the Grand Avenue Park, Nay 29th, 1956s,
for the purpose of serving.a dinner.
'This information developed the fact that no definite method which, would
prevent a conflict in use of the park, has been prescribed by the Council
with respect to' making reservations; whereupon it• was moved'by . Cotncilman.
Love, seconded by: Councilman Selby,. that until the farther order •af• this., Cotmcil
persons or organisations desiring to reserve a considerable portion of-Grand:
Avenue Park or its equipment , for.•private -or exclusive parties'.or'occasionak
make their requests known to and obtain permission therefor,froe, the -City Qerk,
who is hereby directed to keep a record of such reservations, and to advise
the Street Superintendent thereof, so that he may,place notices-of.-such reserva-
tions upon the tables or other equipment required to be used'oiY.such•.dates -as
have been reserved. Carried.

The matter of the consideration of all of the bids received February 7th,
1956, for furnishing all of the labor,. materials and services nacess=7...for. the
construction of a library building in and for the City of El Segundo, having
been continued from a previous meeting to this hour this-date,, the Mayor
announced that the Council would now proceed with -such consideration. t
It appearing desirable to again postpone a decision, it was moved by
Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Love, that all of the bids-received
February 7th, 1956s, for furnishing all of the labor, materials and services:•
required to construct and complete a library building in and for the City of
E1 Segundo, be taken under'further advisement until the hour of 7s15 o'clock P. M.
May 20th, 1986. - Carried by the following•votet
