A=: •.4jpurned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of El Segundo
California, was called to order at 4 :30 o'clock P. N. on the above date, in
the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by Peter E. Binder' j

Clerk read to the Council a communication from Theodore. A. Beyer
/Corporation, dated April 3rd, 1936, agreeing to extend the time-for considera-
tion and action for a Period of thirty days to and including the`7th day of
1!4y, 1936, upon 'said Corporationts bid for furnishing all of the labor and
materials for constructing a library building for the City of El Segundo.
It was thereupon moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Hessen
that the following resolution be adopted:
ERAS, consideration of bids received February, 7th, 1936, for
furnishing all labor and materials necessary for constructing a
public library building for the City of E1 Segundo, were heretofore
taken under advisement until this meeting this date; and
WHEREAS, it again appears desirable to postpone ion with
a, decis
respect to the award of a contract for the construction is said
building or the rejection of said bids;
I,TOY' THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that all of said bids received as
aforesaid be taken under further advisement until the hour of
7 :15 o'clock P. Y., April 15th, 1936.

A letter from Hugh B. Larrence, dated April 6th , , 1936, was read thanking
the Council for its endeavors to cause his appointment as a member"of the Board_
of Supervisors of Los Angeles County to succeed John R, Quinn','resigned;-and
was ordered filed.
No further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting, it pass
moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Love, that the meeting
adjourn. Csxizied.
