the Council Chamber of the City Hall of

Councilmen Present: Gerow, Hesser, Love, Selby and Mayor Binder.
Councilmen Absent: None.
READING OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS.
The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 30th day of October,
1935, were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by Councilman
Love, seconded by Councilman Selby, that the minutes be approved as read.
Carried.
The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting held on the 4th day of
November, 1935, were read, without error or omission being noted, and were
approved as read upon motion of Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman
Hesser, which carried.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS.
The following communications were read and disposed of as indicated:
H. M. THIEL,.dated November 4th, 1935, being an application for
employment -as a Police Officer. Ordered filed.

The City Engineer reported having examined a number of used tractors
and reviewed for the Council his opinion of their condition and the prices
thereof. Following discussion, it was moved by Councilman Gerow, seconded
by Councilman Hesser, that the City Clerk of the City of E1 Segundo be and
he is hereby authorized and directed to publish, as required by law, a notice
advertising for bids for the purchase of a new or used tractor. Carried by
the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Hesser, Love, Selby and Mayor Binder.
Noes: Councilmen None.
Absent: Councilmen None.
The City Attorney reported having received a communication from the
Railroad Commission to the effect that the matter of the claim of the City
of E1 Segundo vs. Southern California Edison Company, concerning which an
informal hearing was recently had before. the Commission, had been referred to
thb legal department of said Railroad Commission for an opinion, upon'receipt
of which the Commission would render its decision.
PAYING BILLS.
The following demands, having had the approval of the Committee on
Finance and Records, were read:

Moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Selby, that the demands
be allowed and warrants drawn on and paid out of the General Fund covering the
same. Carried by the follovring vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Hesser, Love, Selby and Mayor Binder.
Noes: Councilmen None.
Absent: Councilmen None.
NEW BUSINESS.
Moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Gerow, that Lodge
No. 507, F. & A. M. be and it is hereby granted permission to use the City
:call Auditorium on the evening of December 23rd, 1935, in lieu of its use
on December 25th, 1935. Carried.
Moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Selby, that the Altar
Society of St. Anthony's Catholic Church be and it is hereby granted
permission to use the City Hall Auditorium on the evening of Tuesday, November
26th, 1935, for the purpose of holding a benefit card party, no charge to be
made for such use. Carried.
No further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting, it was
moved by Councilman Gerow, seconded by Councilman Hesser, that the meeting
adjourn. Carried.
