NEW BUSINESS.
The Chief of Police drew attention to the desirability of placing
school zone signs on Main Street, one at a point Southerly of Mariposa
Avenue and one in the vicinity of Oak Avenue, stating that the school
zone signs would cost approximately $10.00 each.
Discussion followed, during which, by general consent, it was agreed
that instead of using school zone signs, metal policemen, similar in design
to those now being constructed in the Manual Arts Department of El Segundo
High School for use at the intersections adjacent to El Segundo Grammar
School, be used on Alain Street, and that one be located Southerly of
Mariposa Avenue and one at Maple Avenue.
No further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting, it was
moved by Council:,nan Gerow, seconded by Councilman Hesser, that the meeting
adjourn. Carried.
Respectfully submitted,
