An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of El
Segundo,. California, was called -to -order at 4 :15 o'clock P. M. on the above
date, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by Peter E.
Binder, Mayor.
ROLL CALL.
Councilmen Present: Gerow, Selby and Mayor Binder.
Councilmen Absent: Hesser and Love.
Moved by Councilman Gerow, seconded by Councilman Selby, that the regular
order of business be dispensed with. Carried.
Moved by Councilman Gerow, seconded by Councilman Selby, that the following
resolution be-adopted:
AREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles,
State of California, did, on the 11th day of December, 1935s adopt
a resolution in words and figures as follows, to -wit:
"WHEREAS, by reason of its location and travel thereon,
the hereinafter described street in the City of E1 Segundo,
County of Los Angeles, State of California, should be a part
of the system of County highways in said County; and,
WHEREAS* it is the purpose of the Board of Supervisors
of said County to improve said street, provided the consent
of the governing body of said City shall first be given:
NOVA, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Super-
visors of said County of Los Angeles,'State of California, that
the following named street between the limits thereof indicated
below, and being within the City of E1 Segundo, is hereby declared
to be a part of the County System of Highways in said County, as
provided in Secs. 1700 to 1702 inclusive, Chapter 29, Statutes
of 1935.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by said Board of Supervisors that
said street be improved by said County in the manner hereinafter
set forth, provided the consent of the governing body of said
City shall first be given.

WHEREAS, after consideration of the said resolution above
quoted, the City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, is
of the opinion that the consent of said Council should be given to
the making of the improvement referred to in said resolution and to
the granting of jurisdiction to the County of Los Angeles over the
portion of Rosecrans Avenue referred to in said resolution;

NO`P, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, does hereby resolve, determine and declare as follows:
First :' That the consent of the City Council of the
City of E1 Segundo, California and of the said City to
the making of the improvement above lbentioned by said
County of Los Angeles in the manner'set forth in said
form of resolution above quoted, be and the same is hereby
given and granted.
Second: That jurisdiction to enter upon and improve the
said portion of said Rosecrans Avenue referred to in said
resolution be and the same is hereby granted to said County
of Los Angeles and to said Board of Supervisors of said
County, all as contemplated in the said resolution adopted
by said Board of Supervisors on said llth day of December,
1935.
Third: That the City Clerk shall certify to a copy of
this resolution and cause the same to be immediately
transmitted to the said Board of Supervisors.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Selby and Mayor Binder.
Noes: Councilmen None.
Absent: Councilmen Hesser and Love.
The City Clerk read to the Council the application of J. C.
Poyorena, dated December 12th, 1935, for a permit to move a one story
frame dwelling through the City of E1 Segundo, whereupon it was moved
by Councilman Gerow, seconded by Councilman Selby, that J. C. Poyorena
be and he is hereby granted permission to move a one story frame
building on dollies, through the City of El Segundo, such removal to
take place on the 16th or 17th day of December, at about the hour of
9:00 o'clock A. M., and to be routed over Sepulveda Boulevard, from
Rosecrans Avenue to Imperial Highway. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Selby and Mayor Binder.
Noes: Councilmen None.
Absent: Councilmen Hesser and Love.
No further business appearing to be trarlsacted.at this meeting,
it was moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Gerow, that the
meeting adjourn. Carried.
