November 28th, 1934.
A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, was called to order at 7:00 o'clock P. M. on the above date,
in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by Peter E. Binder,
?, layor.
ROLL CALL.
Councilmen Present: Gerow, Hesser and Mayor Binder.
Councilmen Absent: Love and Selby.
READING OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING.
The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 21st day of November,
1934, were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by
Councilman Hesser, seconded by Councilman Gerorr, that the minutes be
approved as read. Carried.
IkRITTE'N CO&WIJNICATIONS.
The followinb communications were read and disposed of as indicated:
LOGAN R. COTTON, dated November 23rd, 1934, being his report of the
Suarterly audit of the accounts and records of the various Denartments of the
City of El Se;-undo for the quarter ended September 30th, 19340 Ordered filed.
C. L. BROADETATER, SECRET�iRY, Board of Trustees, El Segundo Grammar
School, dated November 26th, 1934, requesting the removal of a dead tree at
;resent standing on the line between West Mariposa Avenue and the playground
of El Segundo Grammar School.
It appearing from the communication that the tree referred to is a
menace to public safety and should be removed, and it appearing further from
the report of the Street Superintendent that said tree is a street line tree,
it v:s.s moved by Councilman Gerow, seconded by Councilman Hesser, that the
Street Superintendent of the City of El Segundo be and he is hereby authorized
and instructed to cause that certain dead street line tree on the North side
of `Iariposa Avenue, between Concord Street and Virginia Street, adjacent to
E1 Segundo Grammar School play grounds, to be felled and to do any and all
things necessary in connection therewith to eliminate the present hazard to
public safety. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Hesser and Mayor Binder.
Noes: Councilmen None.
Absent: Councilmen Love and Selby.
Application of Joe Trimble, dated November 28th, 1934, to move a certain
one story frame building from its present location in E1 Segundo to a point
outside the corporate limits of said City.
Moved by Councilman Gerow, seconded by Councilman Hesser, that Joe
Trimble be and he is hereby granted permission to remove a certain one story
frame building from its present location, 223 Penn Street, within the City of
El Segundo, to a point outside of said City, said building during the process
of such removal to be routed as follovs: South on Penn Street to El Segundo
Boulevard, thence.Easterly on El Segundo Boulevard to the Easterly City Limits,
-provided, however, that the permit is granted subject to the observance by said
house mover of all vrovisions of all ordinances of the City of E1 Segundo
resoecting the moving of buildings within said City and the use of the public
streets thereof. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Hesser and ;mayor Binder.
Noes: Councilmen None.
Absent: Councilmen Love and Selby.

Mr. ?Aarco Zivalic addressed the Council relative to employment by
the City. He was advised that there was no vacancy in any of the municipal
departments of the City of El Segundo and it was suggested to him that he
file an application for employment with the S.E.R.A. at Inglewood.

No further business appearing to be transacted at this session, it was
moved by Councilman Hesser, seconded by Councilman Gerow, that the meeting
adjourn until Monday, the 3rd day of December, 1934, at the hour of 4 :15
