1934 NOV 14 CC MINEl Segundo, California. November 14, 1934. At the hour of 7:00 o'clock P. M. on the above date in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of E1 Segundo, California, said time and place being the time and place for holdingare-ular meeting of the City Council of said City, the City Clerk was the only person present. He waited in the Council chamber until the hour of 7:15 o'clock P. M. on said date, and no member of the Council appearing, the City Clerk announced the meeting adjourned until the hour of 4:15 o'clock P. M. on Friday, November 16, 1934. Aoprovedi Mayor. - City . El Segundo, California. November 16, 1934. An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, was called to order at 4:15 o'clock P. M. on the above date, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by Peter E. Binder, Mayor. ROLL CkLL. Councilmen Present: Hesser, Love, Selby and Mayor Binder. Councilmen Absent: Gerow. REiiDING OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING. The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 7th day of November, 1934, were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by C ouncilman Love, that the minutes be approved as read. Carried. None. WRITTEN COPATUNIC ATIONS. ORAL COPE4UNICATIONS. None. REPORTS OF STANDING C0181ITTEES. None. REPORTS OF OFFICERS AND SPECIAL CONPAITTEES. The City Clerk drew the Council's attention to that portion of the report of Logan R. Cotton, Accountant and Auditor, dated August 8th, 1934, wherein he suggested an adjustment of the Water Department General Ledger Account No. 12 Materials and Supplies, with the actual material record and requested the Council to take some action respectinE the matter. Moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Love, that the following resolution be adopted: 104-M. 3 x to WHERE.S, Logan R. Cotton, Accountant and Auditor, has filed his report dated August 8, 1934, of his audit of the books and accounts of the City of El Segundo for the fiscal year ended June 30th, 1934, and therein draws attention to a difference of $92.39 betTeen Account No. 12- Materials and Supplies and the actual material inventory value of the Water Deaartment of the Ui tNr of El Segundo as of June 30th, 1934; and recommends that this difference be adjusted; and WHERE=AS, said report recites also the actual inventory is in accord with the actual material record and that the difference is occasioned through the fact that the ledger account represents the cost of materials purchased, nlus state sales tax charges, while inventory values are figured at market price as of the date of the inventory less state sales tax charges; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said accounts be adjusted in accordance with said Auditor's recommendation and that authority therefor be and the same is hereby given. The foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Hesser, Love, Selby and Mayor Binder. Noes: Councilmen None. Absent: Councilmen Gerow. PAYING BILLS. Moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Love, that the National Housing blct Committee of the City of El Se:;,undo be and the same is hereby granted permission to use the Council Chamber inthe City Hall of the City of El Segundo, Tuesday ev ening, December 4th, 1934, for the purpose of holding an open public meeting to discuss the National Housing Act, no charge to be made for such use. Carried. No further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting, it was moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Hesser, that the meeting adjourn. Carried.
