July 25th, 1934.
A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of El Segundo,
"California, was called to order at 7:00 o`clock P. M. on the above date,
in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by Peter E. Binder,
Mayor.
ROLL CALL.
Councilmen Present: Gerow, Hesser and Mayor Binder.
Councilmen Absent: Love and Selby.
.READING OF hMWTLS OF PREVIOUS IMETINGS.
The minutes for the meeting scheduled for July 18th, 1934, were read,
without error or omission being noted and were approved as read upon
motion of Councilman Hesser, seconded by Councilman Gerow, which carried.
The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting held on the 23rd day of
July, 1934, were read. No error or omission appearing, it was moved by
Councilman Hesser, seconded by Councilman Gerow, that the minutes be approved
as read. Carried.
W_�I=EN COIv MNICATIONS.
The following communications were read and disposed of as indicated:
RAYT,.OND V. DARBY, Mayor, City of Inglewood, extending an invitation
to the Layor and Council to attend the "Centinela Days Celebration" being
held in Inglewood during the current week and the Pageant to be held on
:'ridgy and Saturday nights of this week. Those of the Council present
expr3ssed an intention to attend some part of the celebration.
CITY OF SIGi.AL HILL, an invitation to attend the formal opening of
the new City hall of said City, on Monday, July 30th, 1934. Ordered filed.

councilman Hesser reported that that portion of the alley immediately
north of Grand Avenue, between l'o'hiting and Loma Vista Streets, was badly in
need of some improvement, and after discussion of the matter, it was moved by
Councilman Gerow, seconded by Councilman .`lesser, that the Street Superintendent
of the City of El Segundo be and he is hereby instructed to cause the alley
between ',rhiting Street and Loma Vista Street for a distance of approximately
100 feet north of Grand Avenue, to be improved, at a cost of not to exceed 030.00.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Hesser and Mayor Binder,
Noes: Councilmen None,
Absent: Councilmen Love and Selby.
None.

CREATING A BOARD OF CONDEMNATION IN AND FOR Tim
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, DEFINING BUILDINGS WHICH
CONSTITUTE A IvENACE TO PUBLIC SAFETY, AND PROVIDING
THE 'vT M OF ASCERTAINING SUCH FACT AND ABATING SUCH
BUILDINGS,
which was introduced and read at a-regular meeting of the City Council of the
city of E1 Segundo zv&xww held on the 11th day of July, 1934, and reread at
at this meeting, be adopted. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Hesser and mayor Binder.
Noes: Councilmen None. -
Absent: Councilmen Love and Selby.
NEW BUSINESS.
A discussion of various sections of the business License Ordinance was
had, but-no action taken.
No further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting, it was
moved by Councilman Gerow, seconded by Councilman Hesser, that the meeting
adjourn. Carried.
