1934 JUL 23 CC MIN46-M • El Segundo, California. July 23rd, 1934. An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, was called to order at 11:30 o'clock A. M. on the above date in the Council Chamber of the City ball of said City, by Peter E. Binder,layor. KOLL CALL. Councilmen Present: Gerow, Hesser and :.iayor Binder. Councilmen Absent: Love and Selby.. Moved by councilman Gerow, seconded by councilman Hesser, that the regular order of business be dispensed with. Carried. Moved by councilman Gerow, seconded by Councilman Hesser, that the purchase of two 5.25 x 18 'fires and Tubes for use on the Police Car of the City of El Segundo, at a total cost of not to exceed $25.00 be authorized. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Hesser and Layor Binder. Noes: Councilmen None. Absent: Councilmen Love and Selby. As Chief of Police announced the appointment of Be Maurer and W. K. Jay as Special Police Officers of the City of El Segundo and requested the Council's approval of said appointments. Moved by Councilman Gerow, seconded by Councilman Hesser that the appointment of E. :.:surer and W. K. Jay by the Chief of Police of the City of E1 Segundo as Special Police Officers of said City be and the same is hereby approved. Carried.
