A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California,
was called to order at 7:00 o'clock P. M. on the above date, in the Council
Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by Peter E. Binder, Layor.
ROLL CALL.

The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 15th day of August, 1934,
were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by Councilman
Selby, seconded by Councilman Flesser, that the minutes be approved as read.

advising that as provided in Ordinance No. 95 of the City of -"l Segundo,
he had declared a quarantine on all does for the period of sixty days from
and after August 20th, 1934. Ordered filed.

The City. Clerk reported that H. L:cMillan, Fire EIngine Driver, had informed
him of his desire to terminate his employment with the City of El Seg -undo this
date, and upon motion of Councilman Gerow, seconded by Councilman 1-iesser,
which carried unanimously, the said oral resignation was accepter, effective
24,-ust 22nd, 1934.

Loved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Gerow, that the following
resolution be adopted:
RESOLVED, that the.:ayor of the City of E1 Segundo, be and he
is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of said City, that
certain agreement, dated September 24th, 194 between the County
of Los asngeles and the, City of L1 Segundo, for the performance of
all of the functions relating to public health within the City of
E1 Segundo, by the Health Officer of Los Angeles County, for the
period of one year beginning September 1st, 1934, at the contract
price of, $800.00 per year, payable monthly in equal monthly
installments on or about the first day of each and every month;

and he is hereby authorized and instructed to attest said agreement
and affix the City seal thereto.

allowed and warrants drawn on and paid out of the General Fund covering the same.

NEW BUSINESS.
beginning Aug. 23, 1934, and
Loved by Councilman Gerow, seconded by Councilman Hesser, tha!/until the
further order of this Council, W. A. Callahan be employed as Fire Engine Driver
of the Second Class and as Janitor of the City of E1 Segundo. As such Fire Engine
Driver of the Second Class, he shall receive as compensation in full.for all
services rendered the sum of :30.00 per month; and as such Janitor he shall receive
as compensation in full for all services rendered the sum of X75.00 per month;
both such salaries shall be payable monthly as other city employees compensated on
a monthly basis are paid. Carried by the following vote:
