A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of N1 Segundo,
California, was called to order at 7 :00 o'clock P. M. on the above date,
in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by Peter F. Binder,

The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 22nd day of 2ovember,
1933, were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by
Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Gerow, that the minutes be
approved as read. Carried.

lbe O ity :engineer advised of the receipt of a report from the L. A.
estin Laboratories respecting three sizes of rock to be used in
connection with the improvement of ii�zona Drive (Sepulveda Boulevard)
within the City of F1 Segundo, to the effect t. ^.w': the rock tested is sound
and acceptable for use under the specifications adopted for the before
mentioned improvement.
The City attorney reported that he had obtained a price from
Segundo -Herald for the printin_ of the Complaitns and S un=ns required in
connection with the Arizona Drive (Sepulveda Boulevard) condemnation action,
follorrin` which it vras moved by Councilman Krimmel, seconded by Councilman
Selby, that the City attorne -* be autho_ized and directed to place an
order with 7-71 Se`-undo herald for the printing of the requisite number of
copies of complaints, indices and su.--z.-ons, in connection with the a rizona
Drive (Sepulveda Boulevard) condemnation action, at a total cost of not to
exceed "JI64.00. Carried by the following; vote:

Noes: Councilmen 17one.

It appearing that certain maps will nave to be attached to copies
of such complaints as are served in the Arizona Drive (Sepulveda Blvd.)
concer_nation proceeding, it was moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by
3ouncilman Gerow, that the City Engineer of the City of El Segundo be and
he is hereby authorized and directe:: to procure such number of copies of
No.12300311 as m4,- be necessary to attach to complaints which must be
served in connection with said proceeding, the total cost thereof not to
exceed the sum of ;"75.00. Carried by the following vote:

UNIT :CISH -ED BUSINESS.
The Council gave further consideration to the purchase of a I +eon
sign for erection at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Inglewood -
Redondo ioad, and after examination of the sketches submitted by !.-eon
Sign 1:anufacturing Company and I. :etlox Corporation, it was moved by
Councilman Gerow, seconded by Councilman Selby, that a two-faced Neon
sign, bearin,; the name "EL SLCt;I�;DO" and an ar.,ow pointing the direction
of,1 Segundo from Inglewood- aedondo Hoad, be purchased from the Neon
Sign :.anufacturing Company and erected by said Company, at the price
named in its quotation, to -wit: X145.00, and that when said Sign Company
is reads* to erect said sign, the 'City Clerk be authorized and directed to
cause Southern California Edison Company to provide electrical service
therefor. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Krimmel, Selby and Mayor Binder.
Noes: Councilmen None.
Absent: Councilman Love.

City Clerk be authorized and directed to cause Southern California
'dison Company to furnish service for the li._hting of the electroliers
at Ll Segundo 3oulevard and Inglewood- _zedondo Road. Carried by the

Noes: Councilmen Prone.

It appearin- desirable to make application to the Federal Civil
»orks Administration for the allocation of funds to the City of :'1 Segundo,
for use in connection with a certain improvement in 1;1 Segundo Boulevard,
riesterly of Arizona Drive, it was moved by Councilman Gerow, seconded by
