1933 NOV 02 CC MIN294 � , El Segundo, California. November 2nd, 1933. . An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, was called to order at 7:00 o'clock P. M. on the . above date, in the Council Chamber of the.City hall of said City, by Peter E. Binder, Mayor. ROLL CALL. Councilmen Present: Krimmel, Love, Selby and Mayor Binder. Councilmen Absent: Gerow.. Moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Love, that the regular order of business be dispensed with. Carried. The demand of R. F. Ward in amount of $177.55, having had the approval of the Committee on Finance and Records, was read. It was thereupon moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Krimmel, that said demand be allowed and a warrant be drawn on and paid out of the General Fund covering the same. Carried by the following vote :. Ayes: Councilmen Krim�mel, Love, Selby and Mayor Binder. Noes: Councilmen None. Absent: Councilman Gerowe Moved by Councilman Krimmel, seconded by Councilman Love, that the following resolution be adopted: VnREA,S, R. F. Ward, Assistant City Engineer and Assistant City Building Inspector, was, with the knowledge and consent of this Council, authorized and instructed to work five days per week, at a monthly compensation of X173.00 for all services rendered as such Assistant City Engineer and Assistant Building Inspector, and .a monthly compensation of $13.00 for the use of said R. F. 'Ward's personal automobile in the discharge of his duties as said Assistant City Engineer and Assistant Building Inspector, instead of four days per week at a salary of 5138.40 per month and $10.40 per month for the use of said employee's automobile; and TAR rA.S, it now appears that through inadvertence no record of such authorization or instruction was made; 1`70-1 T �REFORE, By Ii RESOLVED, that the employment of R. F. Ward five days per week, commencing October 13th, 1933, at a monthly compensation of X173.00 and an additional com- pensation of 513.00 per month for the use of said H. F. 11ard's personal automobile in the discharge of his official duties, be and the sane is hereby approved, ratified and confirmed as of this date; and this Council does hereby further find, declare, determine and state that this confirmation is in accordance with the actual fact as same existed and that said employee has, with the full knowledge and consent and pursuant to the in- struction of this Uouncil, worked said five days per week instead of four days and used his said automobile in the discharge of his official duties five days per week instead of four days per week.; and BE IT FtiR'�WR R S0LT_D that this arrangement shall continue until the further order of this Council. •rhe foregoinG resolution was adopted by the following vote: 'Ives: Councilmen Krimnel, Love, Selby and L;ayor Binder.
