1933 FEB 16 CC MINL.125 CONSENT AND WAIVER OF NOTICE FOR A SPECIAL FETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, FOR FEBRUARY 16TH, 1933. IMOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That we, the under- signed, being all of the members of the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, available for the purpose of holding a meeting of the City Council of said City, do hereby give our written consent to the holding of a special meeting of the City Council of said City at the Council Chamber in the City Hall thereof, No. 203 Richmond Street, in the City of El Segundo, California, on Thursday, the 16th day of February, 1933, beginning at the hour of 4:30 o'clock P. M. of the said day, for the purpose of considering and acting upon a proposition to perform certain maintenance work in E1 Segundo Boulevard, between Richmond Street and Inglewood - Redondo Road, within the City of E1 Segundo, by trimming banks, leveling shoulders, pulling stumps and filling ditches, and the performance of maintenance work in Center Street between Grand Avenue and imperial Highway, by sloping banks, leveling shoulders, pulling tree stumps and smoothing the roadway thereof; and a proposition to grade certain portions of Arizona Drive between Grand Avenue and -aple Avenue, all within the City of E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California; and for the purpose of requesting financial aid from the County of Los Angeles, in order to prosecute said work, said improvements being beneficial to the residents of Los Angeles county generally, and the consideration of and action upon any other matters related thereto or invplved in said proposed improvement. February 16th, 1933. A special meeting of the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, was called to order at 4:30 o'clock P. Y. on the above date, in the Council Chamber of the City ball of said City, by Peter E. Binder, Mayor; said meeting being held pursuant to the foregoing written Consent and Waiver of Notice. ROLL CiLLL. Councilmen Present: Gerow, Krimmel, Love, Selby and Mayor Binder. Councilmen Absent: None. The Mayor informed the Council that 6r. Knap of the �ielfare Division of the County Department of charities, had been in communication with him this date, advising that additional County funds are available for the relief of unemployment; that he had made a survey of the amity and believes that the projects ne d-in the resolutions which he is about to ask the Council to adopt, would ordinarily be prosecuted by the city of E1 Segundo if municipal funds were available therefor, and that inasmuch as the improvements designated in said resolutions are essential and beneficial, it would appear that the acceptance of County aid for the prosecution of the sugnested work and for the purpose of relieving the unemployment situation is desirable. rollowing discussion, it was moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Kr'immel, that Resolution No. 269, entitled: A RESOLU'fION OF 'ice: CITY COUNCIL OF yr; CITY OF EL SEGUNM , CALIFORNIA, FINDING AND DETERMINING `MT THE IMPROVEL1ENT OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF ARIZONA DRIVE WIT__IN SAID CI`17 IS OF GENERAL COUNTY II?Tl:R'ST AND 'IUAT COUNTY AID SHOULD BE EXTENDED TI:HEFOR, which was read, be adopted. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Krinmiel, Love, Selby and Mayor Binder. Noes: Councilmen None. Absent: Councilmen None.
