February 15th, 1933.
A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of El Segundo,
California, was called to order at 7:00 o'clock on the above date, in
the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by the City Clerk,
Mayor Binder being absent. Councilman Love was unanimously chosen
Mayor pro tem and he immediately assumed the duties of the Mayor.
ROLL CALL.
Councilmen Present: Gerow, Selby and Love.
Councilmen Absent: Binder and Krimmel.
- ELDING OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS IMTINGS.
The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 8th day of February,
1933, were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by
Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Gerow, that the minutes be approved
as read. Carried.
'ihe minutes of the special meeting held on the 10th day of February,
1933, were read without error or omission being noted, and were approved
as read upon motion of Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Gerow,
which carried.

WKTI'EN COMMUNICATIONS.
The following communications were read and diposed of as indicated:
* BUILIiERS MATERIAL COMTANY, 222 Main Street, El Segundo, dated
February 11th, 1933, calling attention to the fact that said Company
carries a full line of everything for building purposes, including
rock, sand, ailment, plaster, lumber, sash, doors and paint and requesting
consideration in the distribution of some of the City's business.
Ordered filed.
At this point, the hour being 7:03 o'clock P. M. Councilman
Krimmel appeared at the Council Chamber and immediately took his seat
at the Council Table.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS AND SPECILL COMMITTEES.
The City Engineer reported that he had this date received a report
from the County Stabilization Bureau to the effect that the Board of
Supervisors had approved an appropriation for the improvement of Rosecrans
Avenue and that men would be started to work on the project immediately.
The City Attorney reported receipt of condemnation report in the
matter of the proposed opening, widening any: improvement of Arizona Drive,
from Security Title Insurance and GuarEftee.Company; that .the report is
so lengthy he had not had time 'to fully digest the same; that he anticipated
being able to submit a full and complete report to the Council at—its next
regular meeting, but that in any event he would have prepared and ready for
ddbption the resolution whicb!;will be necessary for the Council to adopt,
authorizing and directing him to proceed V;ith the condemnation suit.

NEW BUSI MSS .
Mr. E. G. Lammiman, President of El Segundo Cooperative Workers
Association, appeared in the Council Chamber at this time and addressed
the Council relative to the purchase of such fertilizer as the amity needs
from the group which he represents. It appearing after discussion that
the City will be in the market for fertilizer in approximately thirty
days and that it may be obtained from E1 Segundo Cooperative Workers
Association at a price corresponding to prices asked elsewhere, it was
agreed, by general consent, that said Association would be permitted to
supply the amity's needs.
kayor Binder appeared during the discussion referred to in the foregoing
paragraph, the hour being 8:47 o'clock r. U, and he immediately took his
seat at the Council table and assumed the duties of the i4ayor,Councilman
Love thereafter ceasing to act as mayor pro tem. _
Thereafter various matters were discussed, upon which no official action
was taken, at the conclusion of which it was moved by -Councilman Gerow,
seconded by Councilman Selby, that this session adjourn until the 17th day
of February, 1933, at the hour of 4:40 o'clock P. M, Carried.
