M. on the above date, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, bT Peter E. Binder, mayor. ROLL CALL, Councilmen Present: Krimmel, Love, Selby and Igor Binder. Councilmen Absent: Gerow. ttEADING OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING. -111ie minutes of the regular meeting held on the 2nd day of November, 1932, were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by councilman Love, that the minutes be approved as read. Carried. WRITTEN CONbUNICATIONS. The following communications were read and disposed of as indicated: CITY OF EL MONTE, dated November 4th, 1932, advising of a meeting of the Los Angeles County League of Municipalities in said City on Thursday, November 10th, 1932, at the hour of 6:30 o'clock P. M. By general consent Mayor Binder and City Clerk McCarthy were authorized to attend. RALPH G. DOW & COMPAITf, dated November 3rd, 1932, being a report of the examination of the books and records of the City of El Segundo for the period from July 1st to September 30th, 1932, made by said firm and certifying as to the correctness of said records for the period under audit. The Chief of Police announced the appointment of William Alias and Melvin Eaton as Special Police Officers and reoue6sted the Council's approval of such appointments. Moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Krimmel, that the appointment by R. T. Hutchins, Chief of Police, of William Alias and Melvin Eaton as Special Police Officers of the City of E1 Segundo be and the same is hereby approved. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Kri=el, Love, Selby and Mayor Binder. Noes: GouncilmenNone. Absent: Councilman Gerow. The Chief of Police advised the Council he had investigated types of radio receiving sets, which might be installed in the City of E1 Segundo police car and that his investigation discloses that the Philco Radio Receiver is best adapted to the uses mentioned; whereupon it was moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Krimmeit that the installation of a Philco Receiving Set in the police car of the City of E1 Segundo be and the same is hereby authorized, at a cost of not to exceed $65.00.
