A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of E1
Segundo, California, was called to order at 7:00 o'clock P. K.
on the above date, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of
said City, by George Love, Mayor.
ROLL CALL.
Councilmen Present: Binder, Gerow, Krlmmel, Selby and Love.
Councilmen Absent: None.
READING OF LMRTTES OF PREVIOUS IZETINGS.
The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 29th day of
April, 1931, were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it
was moved by Councilman Binder, seconded by Councilman Selby,
that the minutes be approved as read. Carried.
The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting held on the
1st day of May, 1931, were read, without error or omission
being noted, and were a -jproved as read upon motion of Councilman
Selby, seconded by Councilman Krimmel, which carried.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS.
The following communications were read and dispoed of
as indicated:
D. M. MCDAVID, dated May 6th, 1931, being an application
for permit to operate a billiard parlor at No. 102 Richmond
Street,, E1 Segundo, California. Following consideration of said
application, it was moved by Councilman Gerow, seconded by
Councilman Binder, that the following resolution be adopted:
WHEREAS, D. M. McDavid, by written application
filed with this Council this date, has requested that
a permit be granted him to conduct a billiard parlor
in the building situated at the Northeast corner of
Richmond Street and E1 Segundo Avenue, being No. 102
Richmond Street, in the City of E1 Segundo;
NOW THEREFOFE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said applicant
be and he is hereby granted permission to conduct a
billiard parlor in said City at said location, for
the period of one year from date hereof, subject however,
to the right of the City Council of said City to sooner
revoke the same, as provided in Ordinance No. 8 of said
City and all ordinances amendatory thereof or supplementary
thereto; and
BE IT KIRTSER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall
immediately issue a written permit unto said applicant
therefor.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Binder, Gerow, Krimmel, Selby and Love.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.
S. C. EVANS, Executive Director, Boulder Dam Association,
dated April 29th, 1931, enclosing six different publications of
United States Reclamation Service, pertaining to Hoover Dam and
its attendant benefits. By general consent the communication and
pamphlets were ordered filed in the office of the City Clerk, available
for use of any person or persons desiring the same.
