At this time the City Attorney directed the attention of the
Council to the fact that he had had a discussion d th the Engineering
DepartnBnt of the City of Los Angeles and with the Public ~Yorks
Committee amithe City Council of said City, in regard to the pro-
posed i provement of Imperial Highway; and that while the City of
Los !Ln3eles had indicated its attitude in its resolution adopted
.,pril 1st, 1931, as beinv favorable to said improvement, that it was
apparently felt that further action on the part of said City of
Los Angeles should be had before the adoption of the Resolution of
Intention respecting said proposed improvement.
The Attorney further at this time surested that under the City
Boundary Line Act of 1911, the Resolution of Intention for the pro-
posed improvement of Imperial Highway should be introduced but not
adopted, and that after such introduction the amity of Los Angeles
should be formally requested to give its consent to the proposed
improvement and grant jurisdiction to the City of E1 Segundo to adopt
the proceedin,s relating to the same.
