June 3rd, 1930.
An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of El
Segundo, California, was called to order at 4:00 o•clock P. M. on the
above date, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by
George Love, Mayor.
ROLL CALL.
Councilmen Present: Gerow, Krimmel, Selby and Love.
Councilman Absent: Bider.
Moved by Councilman Krimmel, seconded by Councilman Gerow, that the
regular order of business be dispensed with. Carried.
WRITTEN COMimiCATIONS.
The following communications were read and disposed of as indicated:
RALPH D. CORNELL$ Landscape Architect, dated June 2nd, 19309 advising
that he had interviewed a Mr. Sumner Spaulding, of the Architectural
firm of Webber & Spaulding of Los Angeles, and that they have agreed to
make the preliminary plans and elevations for the proposed City of El
Segundo library building for a fee of $100.00, and that he feels that
the firm is most highly qualified to do the work, and that its emplbyment
will be to the best interests of the City of E1 Segundo.
Following consideration, it was moved by Councilman Selby, seconded
by Councilman Gerow, that the firm of Webber & Spaulding, 627 South
Carondelet Street, Los Angeles, be and it is hereby employed to make
preliminary plans and elevations for the proposed City of E1 Segundo
library to fit into such park scheme as may be developed by the landscape
architects heretofore employed by the City, the fee to be the sum of
$100.00, which shall be compensation in full for all services rendered
by said Webber & Spaulding for the preparation of such plans and elevations*
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Krimmel, Selby and Love.
Noes: None.
Absents Councilman Binder.
ORAL COM=ICATIONS.
Mr., E. Munger addressed the Council relative to conducting a lunch
counter in a wagon designed for the purpose, to be located on property
at the Northwest corner of Grand Avenue and Richmond Street. The matter
was discussed at some length and by general consent taken under advise-
ment until the next regular meeting of the Council.

No further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting, it
was moved by Councilman Gerow, seconded by Councilman Selby, that the meeting
adjourn. Carried.
