A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California,
was called to order at ?too otclock P.H. on the above date, in the Council Chamber
of the City Hell of said City, by George Love, Mayor.
DOLL CALL.
Councilmen Presents Binder, Gerow, Hrimsel and Love.
Councilman. Absents Selby.
READING OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS.
The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 23rd day of July, 1950, were
read. No errors or omissions having been noted, it was moved by Councilman
Krinuel and seconded by Councilman Binder that the said minutes be approved as
read. Carried.
VRITTEN COMKUNICATIONS.
The following camsunications which had been addressed to and received by
the Mayor personally were read to the Councils
PAN AMERICAN RBCIP20CAL TRADE CONFBRENCE, dated July 26th, 1950, extending
to the Council and all residents of the City of E1 Segundo an invitation to
attend the opening session of the Pan American Reciprocal TradeConference, to
be held at the Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento on Sunday August 24th, 1930.
Ordered filed.
HUGH B. LAWBBNCE, Mayor of Inglewood , dated July 28th, 1950, inviting the
Mayor or his representative to attend a meeting of the sayers of the cities
adjacent to the City of Inglewood, to be held in Inglewood Thursday Daly 31st
for the purpose of disowning ways and mates of bettering conditions of govern-
ment in Los Angeles County, this particular meeting being the ontgrowth of a
meeting of the California Commission On County dome Btsle, held in Long Beach
July 25rd, 1930. By general consent, Councilman Binder was delegated to attend
said meeting as representative of the Mayor of the City of E1 Segundo.

DEPORTS OF OFFICERS as SPECIAL COHl1ITTEES.
The Street Superintendent reported that a contractor had asked his approval
of the construction of sidewalks on the Bast side of Rucalyptus Drive between
Maple Avenue and Oak Avenue and that by reason of the grade of the street and
the necessity for constructing driveways into the respective properties on said
street, it was planned to install stairs adjacent to each property line so that
the driveways might be made level. Following a brief discussion of the matter
It was referred to the Public Works Committee for investigation and a report to
Us Council for its further action.
Hr. Hutchins announced
that he would begin his vacation on August 4th, 1930,

Piro Chief McConnell addressed the Council relative to the substitution of
a new Diaphone for the one at present in use and this matter was taken under
advisement.
At this point, the hour being 7t45 o'clock P.Y. Councilman Binder was en-
cased from farther attendance at this meeting and he immediately left the Council
Chamber.
No further business appearing to be transacted at this session, it was moved
by Councilman Gerow and seconded by Councilman 8riimel that the session adjourn
until Monday - the 4th day of August, 1930, at the hour of 4e18 o'clock P.Y.
The notion carried unanimously.
