1930 JAN 17 CC MINEl Segundo, California. January 17th, 1930. A regular meeting; of the City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, was called to order at 7:00 o'clock P. M. on the above date, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by Geor €e Love, liayor. The City Clerk being absent, Councilman Selby was appointed Clerk pro -tem. ROLL CALL. Councilmen Present: Krimmel, Selby and Love. Councilmen Absent: Binder and Gerow. READING OF ITINU'TES OP PREVIOUS I:127ETING. The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 10th day of January, 1930, were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Krimmel, that the minutes be approved as read. Carried. WRITTEN COV2,1, T+ICATIOI%TS. The following communications were read and disposed of as indicated: LOB ANGELES COUNTY CONSERVATION ASSOCIATION, dated January 11th, 1930, advising that a conference has been called for Monday, January 27th, 1930, in the Board Room of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, for the purpose of discussing state and local water conservation problems, and requesting that a representative of this City be present at said conference. By general consent the Water Superintendent was instructed to attend. JOHN W. Mellen, Secay.- Treas. of the Association of City Planners, of Los Angeles County, relative to changing names of certain streets within the City of Lynwood, which change was made by the said Association. Barragher, desired to know if the Council would extend the City of E1 Segundo water line, from its present terminus,at the Northwest corner of 1tr. Howard`s property, to Inglemod- Redondo Road, said line to ran along the North line of Yr. Howard's property, and that he was willing to grant the City an easement for said pipe line. By general consent, the Water Superin- tendent was instructed to Fet in touch with Ir. Howard and ascertain if possible, the approximate amount of water which would be used, and how soon it would be needed, and no farther action was taken by the Council until this information was obtained. Moved by Councilman Krimmel, seconded by Councilman Selby, that the purchase of one 42" x 60" table with horses, for the Engineering Department, at a cost of not to exceed $30.00 be and the same is hereby authorized.
