A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, was called to order at 7:00 o'clock P. 11. on the above date, in the Council Chambdr of the City Hall of said City, by George Love, Mayor. ROLL CALL. Councilmen Present: Krimmel, Selby and Love. Councilmen Absent: Binder and Gerow. READING OF 27119TTES OF PREVIOUS 12ETINGS. The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 27th day of December, 1929, were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Krimmel, that the minutes be approved as read. Carried. The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting held on the 2nd day of January, 1930, were read, without error or omission appearing, and it was moved by Councilman Krimmel, seconded by Councilman Selby, that the minutes be approved as read. Carried. WRITTEN COM17UNICATIONS. The following communications were read and disposed of as indicated: EL SEGUNDO CHA11BER OF COMMERCE, dated December 31st, 1929, setting forth certain expenditures for advertising and promotion purposes con- templated by said organization and asking the Council to appropriate the sum of $150.00 for the same. Moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Krimmel, that the City Clerk be instructed to advise said organization that the Council will honor demands for sums not exceeding in total $150.00 for expenditures made for the purposes mentioned in said letter, provided said demands are made on proper forms and are presented by the person, firm or corporation actually supplying the service or material. Carried by the following votes Ayes: Councilmen Krimmel, Selby and Love. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen Binder and Gerow. REPORTS OF STANDING COTY11TITTE'ES. G. 26gan, an employee of the Street De- ;artment of the City of. E1 Segundo, formerly in nominal charge of the Gardener's Denartment of said City, be and the same is hereby changed from 75� per hour to 62)c per hour; such compensation to be in full for all services rendered the City of El Sep, -imdo as such Street Department employee, and to be paid semi - monthly as other municipal employees compensated on an hourly basis are paid.
