1j 42 tq* E1 Segundo, California. February 14th, 1930. A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, was called to order at 7 :00 o'clock P. M. on the above date, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by George Love, Mayor, ROLL CALL. Councilmen Presents Krimmel, Selby and Love. Councilman Absents Binder and Gerow, READING OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING. The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 7th day of February, 1930, were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by Councilman Kriamel, seconded by Councilman Selby, that the minutes be approved as read. Carried. WRITTEN COMiI[UNiCATIONS. The following communications were read and disposed of as indicated: Letter from J. A. Smith and fourteen others, thanking the Council for its prompt action in changing the method of parking on Riebwond Street, following the suggestion contained in the petition filed with it on February 7th. Ordered filed. ORAL CCUM NICATIONS. None. REPORTS OF STANDING COWTTEES. Councilman Krimmel of the Public Works Committee, reported that he and the Mayor and the City Engineer had viewed the condition affecting Lots 1 and 2 in Block 99, as complained of by Mr. H. A. Chrisman at the last regular meeting of the Councils and that they had determined that the mutter could be remedied at little expense and the Street Superintendent had been so instructed. REPORTS OF OFFICERS d SPECIAL COMBdITTEES. The City Clerk reported that Mr. Leonard Stuews had requested that traffic direction sign be erected at E1 Segundo Avenue and Virginia Street to direct motorists whose destination is other than El Segundo, but who inadvertently drive into this locality and then are puzzled as to the road to take to arrive at their intended destination. It appearing that traffic direction signs are erected at the intersection of the main highways and that the erection of a sign at El Segundo Avenue and Virginia Street would necessitate the erection of additional sigas at unusual locations, no action was taken in the matter. UNFINISHED BUSINESS. None. NEW BUSINESS. Moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Krimael, that the City Clerk be and he is hereby directed to obtain prices on the painting and redecorating of the Council Chamber, and also on seating arrangement for the same.
