April 2nd, 1930.
An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of El
Segundo, California, was called to order at 11:40 o'clock A. M. on the
above date in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by
George Love, Mayor.
ROLL CALL.
Councilmen Present: Binder, Krimmel, Selby and Love.
Councilmen Absent: Gerow.
By general consent the regular order of business was dispensed with.
A communication was read from Western Air Express, dated March 29th,
1930, extending an invitation to the Mayor and members of his official
family and to the citizens of the City of El Segundo generally to join with
said Compauy in the cetmonies attendant upon the dedication on Thursday,
April 17th, 1930, of the new million dollar airport of said Company on
Valley Boulevard, near Alhambra. Ordered filed.
The Clerk advised the Council that the kitchen of the Fire Engine
Drivers quarters needs painting, whereupon it was moved by Councilman
Krimmel, seconded by Councilman Binder, that James Griffin be employed to
furnish all labor and materials necessary to give the kitchen in the Fire
Engine Driver's living quarters in the City Hall two coats of washable
paint, at a total cost of not to exceed $13.00. Carried by the following votes
Ayes: Councilmen Binder, Krimael , Selby and Love.
Woes: None.
Absent: Councilman Gerow.
SO- there California Edison Company, by its letter dated April lot,
1930, requested permission to set six poles at certain locations within
the City of El Segundo. The application, having received the approval of
the Street Superintendent, it was moved by Councilman Krimmel, seconded by
Councilman Selby, that Southern California Edison Company be and it is
hereby granted permission to set poles within the City of El Segundo, at
the folload.ng locations, to -wit:
