September 17th, 1929.
An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of El
Segundo, California, was called to order at 4 :40 o'clock P. M. on the
above date in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by the
City Clerk, the Mayor being absent. Councilman Krimmel was unanimously
chosen Mayor pro-tem and he immediately assumed the duties of the Mayor.

Councilmen Present: Krimmel, Love and Selby.
Councilmen Absents Binder and Gerow.
Moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Lave, that the regular
order of business be dispensed with. garried.

Moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Love, that the demands
be allowed and warrants drawn on and paid out of the respective funds covering
the same. Carried by the following votes
Ayes: Councilmen Krimmel, Love and Selby.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilmen Binder and Gerow.
Moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Selby, that Gold Crest
Rebekah Lodge No. 357 be and it is hereby granted permission to use the
City Hall Auditorium on the evening of September 24th, 1929, the customary
rental charge of $3.75 to be made therefor. Carried.
k-letter from the Southern California Edison Co., dated Sept. 13th, 1929"
was read, asking permission to replace a pole in the alley South of, Grand
Avenue between Richmond St. and Main St. Said application having been
approved by the Street Superintendent, it was moved by Councilman Love, seconded
by Councilman Selby, that the application of the Southern California Edison
Company to replace a pole in the alley South of Grand Avenue, between Richmond
Street and Main Street be and the same is hereby granted, provided said work
is prosecuted and completed to the satisfaction of the Street Superintendent
of the City of E1 Segundo. Carried.
Councilman Binder appeared at the meeting at this time, the hour being
4:50 o'clock P. M. and he immediately assumed the duties of the Mayor,
Councilman Krimmel thereupon ceasing to act as Mayor pro -tem.
Discussion then was had relative to the improvement of Collingwood
Avemze between Idglewood- Redondo Boulevard and Main Street, and that
portion of Sepulveda Boulevard within the City of E1 Segundo. It appearing
that the cooperation of the City of Zoo Angeles is needed with respect
to the first mentioned improvement and the cooperation of the State and
County with respect to the second mentioned improvement, no action was
taken pending the.result of ccmmunications with the respective
governmental agencies mentioned.
No farther business appearing to be transacted at this meeting, it
was moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Selby, that the
meeting adjourn. Carried.
