1929 OCT 11 CC MINJ 321 El Segundo, California. October 11th, 1929. A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, was called to order at 7:00 o'clock P. M. on the above date, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by Peter E. Binder, Mayor. "he City Clerk being absent, Councilman Love was appointed Clerk pro-tem. ROLL CALL. Councilmen Present: Krimmel, Love �..nd Binder. Councilmen Absent: Gerow and Selby. READING OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MMTING. The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 4th day of October, 1929, were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Krimmel, that the minutes be approved as read. Carried. SPECIAL ORDER'OF. _.BUSINESS. The hearing of protests against the issuance of bonds upon the security of the unpaid assessments for the improvement of a portion of Oak Avenue within thecCity of El Segundo, California, under Resolution of Intention No. 210 of the City Council of said City, having heretofore been set for the hour of 7 :15 o'clock P. M. at this meeting and said hour having arrived, the Mayor announced the hour of 7:15 o'clock P. M. and a4,--d if there were any person or persons present who desired to file protests agal,+ the issuance of bonds for the improvement of a portion of Oak Avenue within tYae City of E1 Segundo, California, under Resolution of Intention No. 210, No Protests were filed or made, and the City Clerk announced that no written protests had been filed with him. It was thereupon moved by Councilman Krimmel, seconded by Councilman Love, that Resolution No. 220, entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF STREET IMPROVE?&M BONDS FOR THE 'rVORK OR IMPROVEMENT OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF OAK AVENUE WITHIN SAID CITY, AS PROVIDED FOR BY RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 210 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SAID CITY, PASSED AND ADOPTED ON THE STH DAY OF MARCH, A. D., 1929, PRESCRIBING THE DENOIJINATIONS OF SUCH BONDS AND OF THE INTEREST COUPONS ATTACHED THERETO; AND DIRECTING DELIVERY THEREOF, which was read, be adopted. The Assistant Water Superintendent advised of the need of the Water Department for three pair of rubber bolts, and stated that in accordance with instructions of the Water Superintendent, he had obtained prices from various merchants on said equipment. After consideration of the said bids by the Council, it was moved by councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Krimmel, that the purchase of three pair of hip length rubber boots for use of the ti`�ater Department at a total cost of not to exceed :14.25. Carried by the followinE, vote: Ayes: Councilmen Krimmel, Love and Binder. Noes: alone. Absent: Councilmen Gerow and elby.
