1929 NOV 29 CC MINJ 359 E1 Segundo, California. November 29th, 1929. A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, was called to order at 7 :00 otclock P. M. on the above date, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by George Love, Mayor. ROLL CALL, Councilmen Present: Gerow, Krimmel, Selby and Love. Councilmen Absent: Binder* READING OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING. The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 22nd day of November, 19291, were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Krimmel, that the minutes be approved as read. Carried. WRITTEN cawmCATIONS. The following communications were read and disposed of as indicatedt President, CHAS. F. TODD/and GEORGE D. BURR, Secretary, Municipal Traffic League of California, advising of the holding of the Fourth Annual Con- vention of said Traffic League in San Diego, December 16th and 17th, 1929, and urging the attendaaoe of one or more of the officials of the City of E1 Segundo at said Convention. It was thereupon moved by Councilman Gerow, seconded by Councilman Krimmel, that J. A, Cummings be and he is hereby authorized to attend the said meeting as representative of the Police Department of the City of E1 Segundo and to file his demand for his actual and necessary expenses in connection therewith. Carried by the following vote: Ayea: Councilmen Gerow, Krimmel, Selby and Love. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Binder. LOS ANGELES CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, dated November 26th, 1929, advising of the Mayor's Day meeting of the Association of City Planners of Los Angeles County to be held at the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, Saturday, December 14th, 1929. Ordered filed. ASSOCIATION OF CITY PLANNERS OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY, dated November 27th, 1929, advising of its annual Mayor's Day Meeting, December 24th, 1929, and of the fact that Mr. Ed W. Hopkins, County Assessor, will address the assemblage on the subject "The determination of assessed valuations and their relations to the community plan ", and inviting the Mayor and as many of the Councilmen as good conveniently attend to do so. Ordered filed. HON. C. C. YOUNG, Governor of the State of Califomia, dated November 27th, 1929, enclosing a copy of a telegram from President Hoover, in which the President asks for data respecting proposed municipal public work construction, and enclosing also a form to be used in the assembling of the data, to be forwarded to the Governor, who will make a recapitulation of the information received from all of the California municipalities, and forward- the same to the President. After con- sideration of the matter, by general consent, the form was referred to the City Engineer, for the compilation of the data required. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS, None. None . M. and he immediately took his seat* The City Clerk reported receipt of a Nlemorand-um of Agreement, dated the 16th day of November, 1929, between A. S. Gough and Susan A. Gough, Trustees, and the City of El Segundo, a Municipal Corporation of the Sixth Class, conveying to said City an easement over certain real property within the City of El Segundo, fbr the construction, maintenance and operation of mains and pipe lines for conducting and transporting water. The form was thereupon examined by the City Attorney and after having been approved by him, it was moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Krimmel, that that certain Memorandum of Agreement, dated the 16th day of November, 1929, between A. S. Gough and Susan A. Gough, Trustees, and the City of E1 Segundo, a municipal corporation of Los Angeles County, California, granting unto said City a perpetual easement and /or right -of -way for the construction, reconstruction, inspection, maintenance, operation and repair of mains and pipe lines, for the conducting and transportation of water for domestic, industrial and irrigation purposes in, under and along the Northerly-12 feet of the Southwest Quarter of Section 7, T 3 S, R 14 W, S. B. B. & Not being a portion of Rancho Sausal Redondo in the County of Los Angeles, and the easement conveyed thereby, be and the same are hereby accepted on behalf of the City of El Segundo, and the City Clerk of said City is hereby authorized and directed to cause the said Memorandum of Agreement to be filed for record in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California. Said resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Binder, Gerow, Krimmel, Selby and Love. roes: None. Absents None. No further business appearing to be transacted at this session, it was moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Binder, that the meeting adjourn until Monday, the 2nd day of December, 1929, at the hour of 4:40 o`clock P.
