1929 NOV 08 CC MINEl Segundo, California. Nov. 8th, 1929. A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, was called to order at 7:00 o'clock P. M. on the above date, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by George Love, Mayore, ROLL CALL. Councilmen Presents Krimmel, it= Selby and Love* Councilmen Absent: Binder and Gerow. READING OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING. The minutes of the regular meeting held on the let day of November, 1929, were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Krimmel, that the minutes be approved as read. Carried. WRITTEN CONMUNICATIONS. The following communications were read and disposed of as indicateds REDONDO BEACH POST NO. 184 AMERICAN LEGION, dated Nov. 4th, 19299 extending an invitation to the dity Council to join with said Post in a celebration Armistice Day, Nov. 11th; that chairs would be reserved on the Speaker *s Stand for members of the Council who will attend. Ordered f1le4. None. None. ORAL COMMUNICATIONSe, REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES. REPORTS OF OFFICERS AND SPECIAL COWITTEES. The City Clerk reported that Gold Crest Rebekah Lodge No. 357, I.O.O.F. desired to use the City Hall on the evening of November 19th, 1929, and on motion of Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Krimmel, which carried unanimously, this permission was granted, with instructions that the customary rental charge of $3.75 be made therefor. Councilman Binder appeared at this time, the hour being 7 :22 o'clock P. M. and he immediately took his seat. The City Attorney reported having farther conferred with the legal representatives of the Gough Estate and that he had prepared draft of a new eastmnent as a result thereof, which he felt would be satisfactory to the City as well as to the Gough Estate, and he thereupon delivered the instruments to the City sneer for his further use. Carried by the following votes Ayes: Binder, Krimmel, Selby and Love. Noes: Hone. Absents Councilman Gerow. NEW BUSINESS. Moved by Councilman Krimmel, seconded by Councilman Selby, that the purchase of two float switches at a cost not to exceed $40.00 for use at Sewer Pump House No. 1, be and the same is hereby authorized. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Binder, Krimmel, Selby and Love. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Gerow. No further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting, it was moved by Councilman Binder, seconded by Councilman Selby, that the meeting adjourn.
