The minutes of the regular meeting held'on the 28th'day °of Becember,
1928, were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by Councilman
Gerow, seconded b.T Councilmaa.Selby, that,t$e minutes be.approved as read.

WRITTEN COMMIDNICATIONS.
The following coamunications `were read and disposed of as indicated:
PETITION OF E. L. CODDINGTON and others, requestifig the adoption of
an ordinance.to limit parking om. Grand Avenue West of Main Street. Following
c3nsidera#ion,._At -was moved by Councilman Krimmel, seconded.by' Councilman
Gerow, that the City Attorney be -'and he is hereby authorized and inlst acted
to prepare and submit to this Countil an ordinance fixing a tiro hour
parking limit on the North and South sides of Grand Avenue between Main
Street and Concord Street.,. Carried,

REPORTS OF OFFICERS & SPECIAL COWITTEES.
The City Attorney reported that he had received advice fro ' Southern~
California Gas Company that a quit claim deed required of said Company over
a portion of Lot 8, Block 103, which is to be used for a public street to be
known as Cypress Street, had been prepared by said Company and placed in the
mail this date.
The City Attorney reported also in connection with Land Registration
Application No. 640, respecting Lot 7, Block 10, Tract 1685, that he had been
In communication with the Attorney representing the petitioners and that the
City's interest would be protected in the said matter.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS.
Moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Srimmel, that the
resignation of Arthur Budgen as City Gardener of the City of El Segundo be and
the same is hereby accepted, effective January 15th, 1929. Carried by the
following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, $rimmel, Love, Selby and Binder.
Noes: None.

Moved by Councilman Gerow, seconded by Councilman Selby, that the
purchase of six 2" valves, twenty -four cast iron valve box covers and two
sets of 2" dies for pipe threader for the Water Department of the City of
El Segundo, be and the same are hereby authorised, at a cost not to exceed
70.00. Carried by the following vote:
