1929 DEC 20 CC MINJ E1 Segundo, California. December 20th, 1929. A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, was called to order at 7:00 o'clock P. M. on the above date, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by the Mayor, George Love. ROLL CALL. Councilmen Present: Krimmel, Selby and Love. Councilmen Absent: Binder and Gerow. READIPLG OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS YEETINGS. The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 13th day of December, 1929, were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Krimmel, that the minutes be approved as read. Carried. The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting held on the 17th day of December, 1929, were read, without error or omission being noted, and were approved as read upon motion of Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Krimmel, which carried. WRITTEN COMYMICATIONS. The following communications were read and disposed of as indicated: METROPOLITAN WATER DISTRICT OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, dated December 13th, 1929, which was in response to the Clerk's letter of December 11th, 1929, and which was accompanied by a copy of the Metropolitan Water District Act of the State of California, as well as a pamphlet, entitled: "Metropolitan Water Distribution", by Frank Thomas, Vice Chairman, Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, and advising that copies of the address of Mr. Harold Conklin, Chief of Division of Water Rights of the State of California, given December 6th, 1929, at a meeting of the said Metropolitan Water District held in Los Angeles, were not available, and advising that regular meetings of the Board of Directors of said District are held on the last Friday of each month at 1:00 P. M., at Room 852, 222 South Hill Street, Los Angeles, which meetings are open to the public, and that the District will be pleased to have any members of the official family of the City of E1 Segundo or any of its citizenry present. Cummings of the Police Department, reported verbally to the Council concerning his attendance at a meeting of the Municipal Traffic League of the State of California, held at San Diego, California, December 16th and 17th, 1929, which he attended as representative of the City of El Segundo. J 3 The City Attorney advised that he was leaving with the City Clerk and the City Engineer, transcripts of certain municipal improvement district bond proceedings heretofore taken in the City of Inglewood, for their study and use in connection with similar proceedings, which will be taken in the City of E1 Segundo in the near future respecting the improvement of Sepulveda Boulevard. Councilman Binder appeared at the meeting at this time, the hour being 8:00 o'clock P. M. and he immediately took his seat. None. None. UNFIYISHED BUSINESS. PAYING BILLS. NEW BUSINESS. At this time discussion was had relative to a number of minor matters not requiring official action, and at 8:10 o'clock P. 1F., no further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting, it was moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Krimmel, that the meeting adjourn.
