Sept. 28th, 1928.
A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of El Segundo,
California, was called to order at 7:00 o'clock P. M. on the above date,
in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of-said City, by the City Clerk,
the PAayor being absent.
ROLL CALL.
Councilmen Present: Krimmel, Love and Selby.
Councilmen Absent: Gerow and Binder.
Councilman Love was unanimously chosen Mayor pro -tem and he immediately
assumed the duties of the Mayor.
READING OF KINUTES OF PREVIOUS 1'IEETING.
The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 21st day of September,
1928, were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by Councilman
Krimmel, seconded by Councilman Selby, that the minutes be approved as read.

The Chief of Police announced receipt of a letter from Daleyte, Inc.,
expressing regret over the fact that its local- managers have not prepared
waste from the store in a satisfactory manner for collection and disposal
by the Street Department of the City of El Segundo and assuring the City
that it will have no further cause for complaint in this regard.

Moved by Councilman Krimmel, seconded by Councilman Selby, that
Miss Lela Dohle be granted her customary annual two weeks vacation,
beginning October 8th, 1928, Carried.
Moved by Councilman Krimmel, seconded by Councilman Selby, that
the overhauling of one of the police motorcycles be and the same is hereby
authorized at a cost not to exceed $30.00. Carried by the following votes
Ayes: Councilmen Krimmel, Love and Selby.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilmen Gerow and Binder.
Moved by Councilman Krimmel, seconded by Councilman Selby, that
the purchase of two tires and two tubes for use of the police motorcycles
be and the same is hereby authorized, at a cost not to exceed $25.00.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Krimmel, Love and Selby.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilmen Gerow and Binder.
Mayor Binder appeared at the meeting at this point, the hour being 7:45
o'clock P. M. and he immediately took his seat and assumed the duties of
the Mayor, Councilman Love thereafter ceasing to act as Mayor pro -tem.
Moved by Councilman Krimmel, seconded by Councilman Love, that Cecil
K. McConnell, Fire Chief, be and he is hereby granted his customary annual
two weeks vacation, beginning October 1st, 1928. Carried.
No further business appearing to be transacted at this nestsion, it was
moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Krimmel, that the'meeting
adjourn until Tuesday, the 2nd day of October, 1928, at the hour of 11:30
o'clock A. M. Carried.
