was called to order at 7:00 o'clock P. I::. on the above date, in the Council
Chamber of the City Hall of s:-id City, by the City Clerk, the '..ayor being
absent. Councilman Gerow was unanimously chosen T,ayor pro -tem, and he
immediately assumed the duties of the Mayor.

Councilmen Absent: Binder.

The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 7th day of September,
1928, were read, without error or omission appearing, and it was moved by
Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Krimmel, that the minutes be approved
as read. Carried.
The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting held on the 8th day of
September, 1928, were read. No errors or omissions being noted, the minutes
were approved as read upon motion of Councilman Krimmel, seconded by Councilman
Love, which carried.

The City Clerk announced receipt of certain street deeds required
in connection with the opening of Acacia Avenue and Certain Other New
Public Streets, under the provisions of Resolution of Intention No. 154.
Moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Krimmel, that the following
resolution be adopted:
RESOLVED, that that certain street deed dated August 25th,
1928, executed by We, T.McCoy and Edna McCoy his wife, and R. T.
Linticum and Mary Linticum, his wife, conveying to the City of
E1 Segundo for public street purposes, the Easterly 20 feet of
the Southerly 160 feet of the Northerly 200 feet of Lot 8,
Block 103, E1 Segundo Sheet No. 3; and that certain street deed
executed by W. To McCoy and Edna McCoy, his wife, and R. T.
Linticum and Mary Linticum, his wife, conveying to the City of
E1 Segundo for public street purposes the Easterly 15 feet of
the Southerly 125 feet of Lot 8, Block 103, E1 Segundo Sheet
?To. 3, all as recorded in Book 20, Pages 22 and 23 of maps,
Records of Los Angeles County, California, on file in the office
of the County Recorder of said County, and the property conveyed
thereby, be and the same are hereby accepted on behalf of the
City of El Segundo; and
BE IT FTRT-T--7R RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the City of
E1 Segundo, be and he is hereby authorized, upon receipt of
advice from the Southwest Title Company, that through such
instruments the City of E1 Segundo will gequire title to said
real property, free and clear of encumbrance, to cause the said
instruments to be filed for record, and to cause to be delivered
to the grantors the amount awarded them in the Report of the
Commissioners appointed for such purpose, under the provisions
of Ordinance No. 135 of said City.
