An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of El
Segundo, California, was called to order at 11:30 o•clock A. Me on the
above date, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by
Peter E. Binder, Mayor.
ROLL CALL.

Councilmen Absent: Gerow and Krimmel.
By general ooneent, the regular order of business was dispensed with.

Moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Selby, that the demands
be allowed and warrants drawn on'and paid out of the respective funds covering
the same. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Love, Selby and Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Gerow and Krimmel.
Moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Selby, that the City
Clerk be and he is hereby authorized and instructed to publish in the E1
Segundo Herald, as required by law, Notice inviting bids on small automobile
for the use of the Sewer Department. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Love, Selby and Binder.'
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilmen Gerow and Krirrmel.
Moved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Love, that Councilmen
George Love and John A. Gerow, City Clerk Victor D. McCarthy, City Engineer
R. T. Hutchins and Street Supt, A. R. Gunn, be and they are hereby authorized
to attend the Convention of the League of California Municipalities to be
held at San Bernardino, California, October 8th to 13th, 1928, as delegates
from the City of El Segundo and to file their respective demands for their
actual and necessary expenses in connection with attendance at said Convention,
which demands respectively shall not exceed the sum of $75.00. Carried by the
following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Love, Selby and Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilmen Gerow and Krimmel.
Moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Selby, that Fire Chief
DicConnell be and he is hereby authorized to attend the Thirty -fifth Annual
Convention of the Pacific Coast Association of Fire Chiefs at Sacramento,
California, October let to 6th, 1928, and to file his demand, not in excess
of $75.00, for his actual and necessary expenses in connection with attendance
at said Convention. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Love, Selby and Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilmen Gerow and Krimmel.
Moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Selby, that beginning
October let, 1928 and until the further order of this Council, the compensation
allowed H. M. Flick, Asst. Building Inspector, for the use of his automobile in
the discharge of his official duties as such Asst. Building Inspector, be and
the same is hereby increased from 25¢ per day to $15.00 per month. Carried by
the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Love, Selby and Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilmen Gerow and Krimmel.
No further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting, it was
moved by Councilman Love, seconded ny Councilman Selby, that the meeting adjourn.
Carried.
