An adjourned regular me tine- of the City Council of the City of El
Segundo, California., wa.s called tc order at 4:15 o'clock P. Il:. on the above
date, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City by Peter E.
Binder, Yayor.

Councilman. absent: Gerow and Krimmel.
T.:oved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Selby, that the
regular order of business be dispensed with. Carried.
The following demands, having had the approval of the Committee on

Yoved by Councilman Selby, seconded by Councilman Love, that the
demands be allowed and warrants drawn on and paid out of the respective funds
covering the same. Carried by the following vote:

Absent: Councilmen Gerow and Krimmel.
Councilman Gerow afpeared at the meeting at this time and immediately
took his seat, the hour being 4:45 o'clock P. Me
Yoved by Councilman Gerow, seconded by Councilman Selby, that the
following resolution be adopted:
11hereas, on the 4th day of MV, 1928, an award was made to
Ira E. Escobar for delivery to the City of El Segundo of one
1 -1/2 ton Ford Truck; and
Whereas, the said Ira E. Escobar is unable to deliver the
said truck at the price bid; and
Whereas, said Ira E. Escobar was required to and did forfeit
to said City the deposit made with his bid, pursuant to which
said awa -rd was made, as a penalty for his said failure; and

Whereas, the City of El Segundo has immediate use for
a one and one -half ton Ford Truck and the said Ira E.
Escobar has one available which he will rent to the City
of E1 Segundo;
Now, Therefore, Be it Resolved, that the rental of one
1 -1/2 ton Ford Truck from Ira E. Escobar, for one month,
beginning June 19th, 1928, at the total rental price of
"'75.00 for the said month be and the same is hereb-- authorized.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Love, Selby and Binder.
Noes: -None.
Absent: Councilman Krimmel.
Moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Councilman Selby, that the City
Clerk be and he is hereby instructed to advertise for bids as required by
law, for the purchase of a 1 -1/2 ton motor truck for use of the Street Depatt-
ment of the City of E1 Segundo. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Love, Selby said Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Krimmel.
No further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting, it was
moved by Councilman Gerow, seconded by Councilman Love, that the meeting adjourn. -�
