The minutes of the regular meeting held on the 20th day of "'Dril, 1926,
were read. No errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by Councilman
Gerow, seconded by Councilman Love, that the mirrites be approved as read.

The following communications were read and disposed of as indicated:
MILLI" D. 7 :zLSz, dated April 24th, 1928, requesting that, to avoid
perpetual annoyance of tree roots blocking the sewer connected with his
premises at No. 119 Eucalyptus Drive, eucalypt-as trees in front of his
propert-zr be removed. By general consent the matter was referred to the
Street Superintendent for compliance viith his recuest.
C. F. =R, requesting permission to cut the curb in front of his
premises at io. 710 Flest Palm Avenue, for the purpose of constructing a
driveway into said premises. Moved by Councilman Love, seconded by Council-
man Selby that the permission prayed for be granted, provided the location
of said proposed driveway is practical, in the opinion of the Street
Superintendent of the City of E1 Segundo, and provided further, that the
viork of constructing said driveway is prosecuted and completed to the
satisfaction of said Street Superintendent. Carried by the following
vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Love, Selby and Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Krimmel.

April 25th, 1928, acknowledging receipt of the Clerk's letter of April
23/rd, 1928, and advising that employees of said Railway Company will be
instructed to cooperate fully with officials of the City of E1 Segundo
in future when the filming of moving pictures is contemplated on said
Railway Company's right -of -way adjacent to El Segundo Avenue. Ordered filed.

The Fire Chief advised the Council that the gasoline line on the fire engine
had sprung a leak recently and before it was detected, several lengths of hose
had been saturated with gasoline and are now valueless for Fire Department use.
The Fire Chief was given permission to transfer to the Street Department seven
joints of 2 -1/2" fire house damaged by gasoline.

Clerk be and he is hereby wathorize'_ to purchase 250 feet of 2 -1/2" fire hose
at a cost not to exceed .'275.00. Carried by the following vote:
