E1 Segundo, Cal, June 14th, 1927.
An adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of E1
Segundo, California, was called to order at 4 :40 o•clock P. TL. on the above
date, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by Peter E. Binder,
President of the Board.
ROLL CALL.
Trustees Present: Gerow, Krimmel, Love and Binder.
Trustees Absent: Cannon.
Moved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee Love, that the regular order
of business be dispensed with. Carried.
Moved by Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Gerow, that the following
resolution be adopted:
SAS, it has been customary for a number of years to have
the accounts, records and financial transactions of the various
departments and offices of the City of E1 Segundo audited each
year by a Certified Public Accountant; and
,=REAS, it is desirable to have such work done for the fiscal
year ending June 30th, 1927; and
',=7AS, H. A. Harrison, Walter K. Mitchell and C. J. Rambo
& Co., each have bid upon the same; and
=R AS, it is found that the bid of C. J. Rambo & Co. is the
lowest bid received;
NO- !'TdEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the auditing of the accounts,
records and financial transactions of the various departments of
the City of E1 Segundo, for the fiscal year ending June :0th,
1927, be and the same is hereby awarded to C. J. Rambo & Co., upon
the conditions and at the price named in its bid dated June 2nd,
197, and its letter supplementary thereto dated June 9th, 1927,
said price being $525.00; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be and he is
hereby authorized to inform the said company of this award and
to arrange for the audit to proceed at the convenience of his office.
Said resolution was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Gerow, Krimmel, Love and Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustee Cannon.
It appearing that a storage battery is needed for the Chevrolet dump
truck, and the City Clerk advisinL that the Standard Garage, Standard
Batters- Shop and Ira E. Escobar had quoted prices of X16.25, X13.50 and
X12.00 respectively for a 13 Plate, 6 Volt Storage Battery, it was moved by
Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Gerow, that the City Clerk be and he is
hereby -authorized to purchase one 13 Plate, 6 dolt Ford Storage Battery
from Ira E. Escobar, for use on the Street Department Chevrolet Dump Truck,
at a cost not to exceed X12.00. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Gerow, Krimmel, Love and Binder.

Absent: Trustee Cannon.
It appearing that a new typewriter is needed in the Clerk's office by
reason of the deterioration of the Royal typewriter purchased several years
ago, it was moved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee Love, that the City
Clerk be and he is hereby authorized to purchase an Underwood Typewriter at
a total cost of not to exceed :"112.00, and to trade in against the purchase
price of said new typewriter, at not less than $20.00 value, one Royal
Typewriter No. X 305643. Carried by the followin€; vote:
Ayes: Trustees Gerow, Ytimmel, Love and Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustee Cannon.

it was moved by Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Krimmel, that the
meeting adjourn. Carried.
