El Segundo, Cal. June 3rd, 1927.
A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of El Segundo,
California, was called to order at 7 :00 o'clock P. M. on the above date, in
the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by Peter Z. Binder, President
of the Board.
ROLL CALL.
Trustees Present: Cannon, Gerow, Krimmel, Love and Binder.
Trustees Absent: None.
READING OF MINITTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS.
The minutes of the regular meeting held on May 27th, 1927, were read. No
errors or omissions appearing, it was moved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee
Kri.mmel, that the minutes be approved as read. Carried.
The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting held on June 1st, 1927, were
read, without error or omission appearing and it was moved by Trustee Love,
seconded by Trustee Gerow, that the minutes be approved as reed. Carried.

The following communications were read and disposed of as indicated:
BOULDM DAM ASSOCIATION, letters dated May 17th and Kay 19th, 1927,
reporting the progress of the Association and giving a detailed account of
the receipt and expenditure of certain moneys. Ordered filed.
C. J. RALIBO & CO., dated June 2nd, 1927, submitting a bid on an audit of
the municipal accounts and records of the City of EL Segundo for the fiscal
year ending June 30th, 1927. Ordered filed.
ORAL COMnMICATIONS.
Mr. C. J. Rambo, on behalf of Co J. Rambo & Company, Certified Public
Accountants, addressed the Board relative to the qualifications of his firm
as auditors, stating that they specialize in municipal work.
None.
REPORTS OF STANDING COMUITTEES.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS & SPECIAL COMUITTEES.
The Street Superintendent reported that the gasoline storage tank and pump
had been installed at the municipal warehouse and that certain cement curbing
and driveways should be constructed, and that the roadway adjacent to the
warehouse should be improved. Moved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee Cannon,
that the Street Superintendent be and he is hereby authorized and instructed to
construct necessary cement curbs and driveways in and adjacent to the municipal
warehouse at the Northeast corner of Holly Avenue and Perm Street, and to
improve the roadway of the public streets adjacent to said municipal warehouse.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Cannon, Gerow, Krimmel, Love and Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.
SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS.
The hearing of protests against the issuance of bonds upon the security
of the unpaid assessments for the improvement of Lateral Sewerage District No. 2,
within the City of E1 Segundo, California, under Resolution of Intention No. 134
of the Board of Trustees of said City, having heretofore been set for the hour
of 7 :30 o'clock P. M. at this meeting and said hour having arrived, the President
arose and announced the hour of 7 :30 o'clock P. M. and asked if there were any

person or persons present mho desired to file protests against the issuance
of bonds for the improvement of Lateral Sewerage District No. 2, within the
City of El Segundo, California, under Resolution of Intention No. 134.
No protests were filed or made, and the City Clerk announced that no written
protests had been filed with him. It was thereupon moved by Trustee Cannon,
seconded by Trustee Gerow, that said matter be taken under advisement until
the hour of 7 :30 o'clock P. M. on Friday, June 10th, 1927. Carried.
NEW BUSINESS.
Moved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee Love, that the City Clerk
be and he is hereby authorized to purchase a floral spray at a cost not to
exceed X5.00, for the funeral of Louis Krabbenhoft, a recent municipal
employee. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Cannon, Gerow, Krimmel, Love and Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.
Moved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee Love, that 311 Segundo Lodge
No. 507, F. & A. M. be and it ishereby granted permission to use the City
Hall Auditorium on the evening of June 18th, 1927, the customary rental
charge of $3.75 to be made therefor. Carried.
Moved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee Love, that the Water Depart-
ment of the City of El Segundo be and it is hereby authorized to install a
4" compound meter at and for the use of the P•1 Segundo High School, the E1
Segundo High School District to be charged for the cost of said meter, plus
the cost of installation. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Cannon, Gerow, Krimmel, Love and Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.
Moved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee Love, that the City Marshal
be and he is hereby authorized to purchase a stretcher for use on the Dodge
Automobile recently acquired by the City; also to have said automobile
equipped with required red lights and to have the front seat of said
automobile remodeled so that, if necessary, the said automobile may be used
in an emergency as an ambulance, the cost of such equipment and remodeling
to cost not to exceed $60.00. Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Cannon, Gerow, Krimmel, Love and Binder.
Noes:, None.
Absent: None.
No further business appearing to be transacted at this meting, it was
moved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee Gerow, that the meeting adjourn.
