El Segundo, Cale April 11th, 1927.
Pursuant to call of the President, due notice having been given to each member
of the Board of Trustees in the time, form and manner required by law, a special
meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of El Segundo, California, was called
to order at 4 :40 o'clock P. M. on the above date, in the Council Chamber of the City
Hall of said City by Peter Be Binder, President of the Board.
ROLL CALL.
Trustees Present: Gerow, grimmel, Love and Binder.
Trustees Absent: Cannon.
Moved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee Love, that the regular order of
business be dispensed with. Carried.
The Clerk thereupon presented to the Board applications of Mark H. Squier,
dated April 11th, 1927, for permits to move five buildings within the City of E1
Segundo. The applications having been examined by the Board, and having been
approved by the Building Inspector, it was moved by Trustee Love, seconded by
Trustee Gerow, that Mark H. Squier be and he is hereby granted permission to move
a one story frame dwelling house from 108 Bast Palm Avenue to Lot 1, Block 81,
El Segundo; a one story frame garage building and a one story frame dwelling from
108 -A East Palm Avenue .10 Lot 1, Block 81, EL Segundo; a one story frame dwelling
from No. 123 East Palm Avenue to Eucalyptus Drive between Grand Avenue and Holly
Avenue and a one story tram dwelling from Ho. 108 -B Bast Palm Avenue to 660 West
Palm Avenue, within the City of El Segundog all in accordance with the applications
for same, filed with this Board this date, and in accordance with the provisions
of ordinances of the City of B1 Segundo respecting the same, and provided further,
the work is prosecuted and completed to the satisfaction of the Street Superin-
tendent of the City of El Segundo. Carried.
The Clerk then presented to the Board the request of Chutuk & Vukojevich for
an extension of time in which to complete their contract dated August 20th, 1926,
for the construction of lateral sewers in Lateral Sewerage District No. 2, in
accordance with Resolution of Intention No. 134. It was thereupon moved by
Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Brimmel, that Chutuk & Vukojevich be and they
are hereby granted a sixty day extension of time in which to complete the work
contemplated under their contract with the City of E1 Segundo dated August 20th9
19269 for the construction of lateral sewers in Lateral Sewerage District Noo, 20
Carried by the following vote:
Ares: Trustees Gerow, 8rimmel, Love and Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustee Cannon.
Trustee Srimmel advised that the storm water drain located at the Southwest
corner of Whiting Street and Franklin Avenue is stopped up, causing storm waters
to flow into the basement of the dwelling house located at said corner; also
that on East Franklin Avenue in the vicinity of Sierra Street, there is a low
spot where storm waters accumulate and that both of these matters should have
early attention. By general consent the same were referred to the Street
Superintendent.
No further business appearing to be transacted at this meeting, it was
moved by Trustee Love, seconded by Trustee Krimmel, that the meeting adjourn.
