An adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of 21
Segundo, California, was called to order at 4:40 o'clock P. M. on the above date,
in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by Peter ;. Binder, President
of the Board.
ROLL CALL.
Trustees Present: Anderson, Cannon, Gerow and Binder.
Trustees Absent: Love.
By general consent the regular order of business was dispensed kith.
A written com*lunica.tion, dated Yarch 15th, 1926.from L. A. Borden,
requesting permission to construct a driveway into his garage at 11o. 311 .Vest
Franidin Avenue, was read and upon motion of Trustee Anderson, seconded by Trustee
Cannon, which carried, the following resolution was adopted:
BUSOLVE, , that L. A. Borden be and he is hereby granted
permission to construct a concrete driveway into the garage
on his premises, No. 311 .Jest Franklin Avenue, said work to
be prosecuted and completed under the direction of and to the
satisfaction of the Street Superintendent of the City of E1
Segundo.
Yoved by Trustee Gerow, seconded by Trustee Anderson, that the following
resolution be adopted :.
:7BER.t,S, on the 31st day of July, 1925, the employment
of J. 17. Arnold as meterma.n for the 'Water Department of the
City of E1 Segundo at a salary of - ,150.00, was authorized by
this Board of Trustees; and
MIERE,AS, it now appears to this Board of Trustees that
the employment of said person in said capacity has not been
essential since the first day of March, 1926; and
778MMA3, the Superintendent of the .later Department has
advised this Board of Trustees that he informed Mr. Arnold
on or prior to the first day of March, 1926, that on and after
said date his employment would be on a basis of 620 per hour as
a laborer in the .later Department of the City of E1 Segundo
instead of 4150.00 per month as meterman;
NOVI THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the employment of J. ;9.
Arnold as meter man in the Water Department of the City of E1
Segundo at a salary of x1150.00 per month be and the same is
hereby terminated as of midnight, February 28th, 1926, and
that his employment thereafter as a laborer in the Water Depart-
ment at a compensation of 62¢ per hour, be and the same is
hereby authorized and approved.

Ayes: Trustees Anderson, Cannon, Gerow and Binder.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustee Love.

allowed and warrants drawn on and paid out of the respective funds covering the
,same. Carried by the following vote:

Moved by Trustee Gerow, seconded b;, Trustee Anderson, that the following
resolution be adopted:
RESOLVM, that the City of :�;l Segundo accept from the contractor
that certain one story frame dwelling and garage, erected by Albert
J. Sullivan under his contract with the City of 31 Segundo dated
the 23rd day of December, 1925, but that before this acceptance
becomes effective, said contractor shall file with the City Clerk
of this City his agreement that such acceptance of said dwelling
house and garage shall not be construed as an acceptance of the other
work required under stid contract; and
7�E IT FMT= RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be and he is hereby
authorized.and instructed to purchase and have installed in the
said building window Ishadea for all of said vindows, together with
linoleum for the kitchen thereof, all at a cost not to exceed X60.00.
