1926 MAR 02 CC MIN-x150 �w ..l Segundo, Cal. March 2nd, 1926. An adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo, California, was called to order at 7:00 o'clock P. M. on the above date in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City, by Peter E. Binder, President of the Board. ROLL CALL. Trustees Present: Anderson, Cannon, Gerow, Love and Binder. Trustees Absent: None. By general consent the regular order of business was dispensed with. Loved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee Love, that the City = engineer be and he is hereby instructed to furnish the City attorney with all of the engineering data necessary to enable the City Attorney to prepapre legal proceedings necessary for the opening of Oak Avenue between Palm Avenue and Maple Avenue from the Easterly line of the Fisher Subdivision to the 'k4esterly line of Block 8, Tract 1685; and for the opening of Sycamore Avenue from the -festerly line of Penn Street to the Easterly line of Main Street; and for the opening of Acacia Avenue from the ;iesterly line of the Fisher Subdivision to the 17esterly line of Block 12, Tract 1685, and the City Attorney is hereby directed, upon receipt of the data herein referred to, to prepare all of the legal proceedings necessary for the opening of said streets, and present the same to this Board of Trustees at his early convenience. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Anderson, Cannon, Gerow, Love and Binder. Noes: None. Absent: None. Discussion was then had relative to the appointment of Commissioners to assess benefits and award damages in connection with the opening of a new portion of Oak Avenue, a new portion of Sycamore Avenue and the opening of Acacia Avenue, and it being the unanimous opinion of the Board that Messrs. Adolph Leusinger, George A. Johnson and Arnold Fitzgerald, rendered such excellent and satisfactory services as Commissioners for the opening of a portion of Sycamore -&venue, that it would be desirable to reappoint these men to the same office in connection with the opening of the before mentioned streets, the City Clerk, by general consent, was instructed to communicate with the gentlemen.in an effort to obtain their consent to such appointment. A written communication from the League of California Iunicipaliti°es, announcing a special meeting to be held at Fresno, California, Saturday, 1!arch 6th, 1926, commencing at the hour of 1:30 o'clock P. 11. was read, and ordered filed* moved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by 1'rustee Anderson, that the action of the City Clerk in ordering the Southern California 'Edison Company to furnish electrical energy for illumination of the ornamental street lighting system on Grand Avenue and :ichmond :3treet, as of Larch lst, 1926, be and the same is hereby ratified and approved, and the said City Clerk is hereby directed to furnish to the said Southern California Edison Company written confirmation of the action of this Board and the said City Clerk is hereby further authorized and instructed to place an order with the southern California Edison Company for the furnishing of electrical energy to the municipal warehouse, the Standard street sewer pump station, the Franklin Avenue sewer pump station, the Collingtiwood Street sewer pump station and the dwelling house of the sewer pump station attendant, when the said structures are accepted by ,he ioard of Trustees, and the said electrical energy is required for the use and operation of the same. Loved by Trustee Cannon, seconded by Trustee Anderson, that the following resolution be adopted: R:SOLV �, that from and after the 3rd day of March, 1926, and until the further order of this Board, the salary of Lela Dohle as Clerk in the Water Department of the City of El Segundo be and the same is hereby fixed at the rate of 4125.00 per month, which said salary shall be compensation in full for all services rendered as Clerk of the Municipal dater Department, and shall be payable monthly as other city salaries are paid; and BE IT FURTHM R_SOLV:,M, that the action of this Board of Trustees heretofore taken, fixing the salary of said individual as said lark of the said Municipal Water Department, be and the same is hereby rescinded as of said :,larch 3rd, 1926.
